Its been raining for the past week in Nottingham so Will beams with gratitude when he finds a door to the Bar.

After a few moments, he is stretched out on a couch with hot chocolate, soup and his cloak drying by the fire as he feels dry for the first time in days.

(OOC: Mun is here, but might disappear to go play with nieces and family so consider this open until it falls off the page.)

"Oh aye, sir?"

"That's right. A thief found himself a fancy mask and thought he'd pull one over on some unsuspecting Gorons. Fortunately, we caught him--he stole the mask from my city, so he was in my jurisdiction."

And he's proud of that one, too. In case you couldn't tell.

"What's a Goron, sir?"

Will rubs his wrist and tries not to think about how its a bit worrying that this man would be so proud of catching a thief who stole a mask.

"Well, basically they're rocks. Sentient rocks."

There's not much other way to describe a Goron, really.

He notices the rubbing as well. "All right there, son?"

"Oh aye, sir. Sound dangerous."

He forces himself to stop rubbing by picking up his drink. This man seems nice yet he looks like a guard so its complicated.

"If you get on their bad side, I suppose. They're really quite gentle. And brilliant merchants."

He smiles. "They run the best hot springs I've ever been in, too."

"Oh aye, sir. Yer world must be quite an interestin' one."

"That it is. Do you have any races besides humans in Nottingham?"

"Nay, sir, 'ad ne'er truly known o'others 'xcept in tales."

"Really? Where do you get your foreign goods from?"

He can't imagine humans coming up with the variety of good that the races of Termina do.

"Merchants bring 'em from all o'er, sir."

"People live in the mountains? And on the ocean? And in the forest?"

He looks vaguely shocked.

"In the mountains an forests, aye, sir, an travel o'er the ocean."

"How can they survive in such harsh conditions?"

Granted, the mountains probably don't sit under near-perpetual blizzards, and the forests probably aren't swamps. But Viscen doesn't know that.

"Sherwood forest isna that bad, sir, just 'ave to know 'er ways."

"It's hard to imagine a forest without Dekus. Do they build houses in the forest?"

"Oh aye, sir, tis cottages in the forest. What's a Deku?"

"Well, that is impressive. There's very few that can build a house and keep it in the forests of Termina!"

He thinks for a moment, then smiles almost ruefully.

"Well, they're basically shrubs. Sentient shrubs."

It's the best description of a Deku, really.

"Sounds prickly, sir."

"Actually, they're quite smooth. All polished wood and leaves, usually. They're specially adapted for forest living."

He blinks at a sudden thought.

"People who live in your forest don't start suddenly growing leaves, do they?"

He's certainly seen stranger things.

Will looks down at himself,

"Nay, sir, but wearin' green can be useful."

He sees what you did there.

"Oh, do you live in the forest?"

"At times, sir, aye."

He looks positively delighted.

"How exciting! Do you do lots of exploring?"

"In a way, sir, aye. Been playin' in Sherwood since I was a lad."
