Xigbar is so not inside today. He's seen those people running around in eyepatches, and talking like Luxord on a bad day. That shit is so not on.

It's going to be a while before Suzi gets anywhere near cold enough to put a coat on, so she's outside with Joy for a casual walk around the lake. She doesn't get the pirate thing either and does what she does for most baseline holidays: goes for the food and ignores the rest of it.

Mention of Axel and Yrael has him immediately more wary; she's a hot babe, but she's a hot babe friend of VIII, and the last one yelled at him and shot him with a plasma cannon.

Which was pretty hot, but really not cool.

Teja is outside as well; he is fetching water for forge-work. There must always be water, when there is so much fire and sparks.

"I spoke to several of your people," Teja says, putting down his two buckets of water. "And the ship that ferries the dead returned, today. I would not know if that would effect you; it makes berth in the part of the lake that is a warm sea."

In some ways, dead would be better; you can come back from dead.

"Zexion! Hey dude what's up?"

"I have reports that I have reason to believe you do not. I do not think III is stable enough at the moment to receive them, and also I found you first."

Instead he produces a thick sheaf of paper from his pockets, all in neatly organized stapled sets and small precise handwriting, and holds them out to Xigbar.

Xigbar takes the paper, and starts leafing through it, his eye skimming rapidly over the information, and his eyebrows rising higher and higher with each page.

"Anything interesting happen?" Xaldin asks, "I detailed a Dragoon for Billy's lover. They're headed into war and Billy was nervous."
