In a way, Milliways offers what she needed. A place to sleep, where she can curl up in a bed and hug a pile of pillows and just take some time to
process. And if a lot of that
processing time is actually spent crying... no one who knows what she's been through would blame her, she's pretty sure. But there's a point at which it stops being a vacation from her life and starts being hiding from it, and Rikki does not hide.
So, about four days since she first entered the bar, she ventures out of her room feeling... kind of better. Her first planned stop is at the bar, though, because the idea of using the minors' fund still makes her uncomfortable, and she wants to know if there's anything she could do to kind of... pay back into it.
Thing is, she expects something like washing dishes or cleaning or something. What she does not expect is to get a note proclaiming that she's now the bartender for the next few hours. In response to her protest that she's underage and that's not even legal, the bar provides her with a little book of easy-to-make mixed drinks that are either already virgin or have virgin variants.
About five minutes later, Rikki looks at the board and squares her shoulders before carefully writing out her choices.
