"I need to give one to Dinah, too--we're kind of trying to start a study group for kids here. Get some teachers signed on."

Beat.

"And I should probably write my letter to Teja separately too. D'you think?"

"Probably," Billy agrees, since his will be more business than not. He adds Dinah to the list. "You seen Jay or Jenny around?"

Teddy closes the magazine/catalog, and it disappears into the bar when he sets it down. He then walks over to Billy to give him a kiss on the cheek from behind, arms wrapped around his shoulders.

"No, I haven't. Not since that night."

"I should apologize."

At least he can admit it.

Teddy nods. "Yes, you should. In writing, if you have to, but in person would be better."

"I should apologize, too. I was kinda pushy."

"No. You were being a good friend."

"Okay. I'd still like to make sure he's doing okay, though. I worry about him, a lot," admits Teddy. "Especially when Jenny's not here, but usually all the time."

"There's definately something not right there," Billy agrees. "I'm not going to try to help unless he wants it, though."

"Oh, no, definitely. I usually try to go up to him, though. Let him know I'm there if I'm ever needed. I know it's probably tough for him to deal with people--hell, it's difficult for you and I to deal with people sometimes." Having to talk to the press and be public figures has helped with that immensely. "I just hope he's able to sort through... whatever happened to him."

"Yeah. That's -- you're so sweet." Unlike Billy.

"You're sweet, too! Just in... different ways." It's true! "But thanks. I just try to help."

Is not. -.-

"And you do."

Is too. :P

Teddy just smiles. "So, you know it's Halloween tomorrow, right?"

Teeehee. He totally doesn't, and Teddy knows it.

"...it's tomorrow?" He knew it was soon, but. Yeah.

"Yup. Got any plans?"

Wink-wink-nudge-nudge.

(Here's a hint: SAY NO.)

"Well there's this beautiful guy that keeps hitting on me..."

"Really. Do tell."

Teddy unlocks his arms and sits on the stool next to Billy, like they're at a single's bar and telling stories.

"Mmhmm. He's blond, and has a really strong jaw, and you wouldn't believe what he can do with his mouth..."

"Maybe I should meet this guy. Too bad... I was kind of hoping you and I could get together on Halloween. I heard it's your birthday and all. I even had a few surprises in store."

That Bar is currently taking care of.

"Well. I don't know. He's very jealous."

"Well, then... I guess I can't make that happen. Don't want to start any fights, you know?"

Beat.

"Besides, you're missing out. I think I'm better-looking than any other guy here." Cheeky grin.

"You are at that, mysterious stranger." Billy pouts. "Aren't I worth starting fights over?"

"Worth getting celled, even, maybe. I amend my previous statement."

Teddy makes a show of looking around the bar. "Where is this other mysterious beau so that I might righteously kick his ass?"

"You, stupid." Billy leans over to kiss Teddy on the nose.
