Happy Hour!

Lorne is humming to himself as he steps up to the bar this evening, a pleased smile on his face. He orders a beer, and grins when a note appears with it.

"Sure thing, sweetheart," he says and hops over the bar.

After a few moments of rustling through the book, he posts the specials.

That pleased smile is still on his face. They have a fireplace and plumbing and stairs and a floor! Once they finish the furniture, it'll be all set to move into.

He starts humming again as he waits for customers.

"How much longer are you on duty?"

He drinks the last of his rum and Coke quickly.

"Not sure," Lorne says, and a napkin pops up on the counter.

Just go already. It says.

Lorne shows it to Jack, grinning. "I guess this means I'm off."

Jack bends and kisses the bar top quickly. "Thanks," he says and gives her a gentle stroke.

"C'mon, sweetheart."

Lorne vaults over the bar and gives her an affectionate pat.

"Dinner?"

"Oh, right, I'd forgot. Something simple like ham sandwiches and pie?"

"Perfect," Lorne says. "Portable and easy to postpone if we don't get to it right away."

A box appears on the bartop, and Lorne picks it up, murmuring his thanks to Bar. He takes Jack's hand and pulls him toward the stairs.
