Happy Hour!

Lorne is humming to himself as he steps up to the bar this evening, a pleased smile on his face. He orders a beer, and grins when a note appears with it.

"Sure thing, sweetheart," he says and hops over the bar.

After a few moments of rustling through the book, he posts the specials.

That pleased smile is still on his face. They have a fireplace and plumbing and stairs and a floor! Once they finish the furniture, it'll be all set to move into.

He starts humming again as he waits for customers.

"Subtle," says Jack as he sits at the bar.

"I thought so," Lorne says, looking quite pleased with himself.

"We'll have to serve those at the housewarming."

Lorne chuckles softly. "Yes, we will."

"And have dancing, right? I want people to dance."

"Absolutely," Lorne says. "If we push the furniture to the side, there's plenty of room in the living room for dancing."

"This is going to be fun," Jack says and leans over the bar. "Kiss me, please."

"Yes, sir," Lorne murmurs, leaning in and kissing him slowly.

Jack holds Lorne's cheek in one hand and kisses him back, soft and sweet.

Lorne leans his forehead against Jack's, smiling softly.

"Can I get you something, or did you just come to molest the bartender?"

"I came to just molest the bartender. He's hot."

"No complaints here," Lorne murmurs and kisses Jack again.

"I figured it would be okay," Jack whispers and kisses him back.

"Don't tell anyone I let you, though, or everyone will want to."

"They'd better not," Jack says and looks at him through his lashes. "Or they'd better tip you good for it first."

"Pimping me out now, babe?" Lorne asks, grinning.

"Just a suggestion. I mean, if everybody wants to kiss you I think you ought to be compensated."

Lorne nods seriously (no, really). "Well, next time Bar conscripts me, maybe I'll just set up a kissing booth."

"A dollar a pucker." He nods, also Totally Serious.

"Only a dollar?" Lorne pouts. "You don't think my kisses are worth more than a buck?"

"A dollar is a pretty high price," Jack says. "I've been to country fairs where the prettiest girl was fifty cents a kiss."

"Yeah, but you gotta account for inflation since then," Lorne argues. "Besides, aren't I prettier than the prettiest girl?" He bats his eyelashes.

"You," Jack says softly, "are so much prettier than the prettiest girl.

"So . . . ten dollars a kiss? Is that better?"

"Much better," Lorne says, nodding.

"But will people pay that much? And would it be a mere smack or would there be tongue?"
