Alice Cullen entered Milliways with a knowing smile. Futures shifted when she chose this door (the door to a closet in their hallway) and she knew she'd be here.
And on her own this time! She'd only ever come with Edward but hey! What's the worst that could happen? After all, she's a Cullen and she's brave. She survived so very long on her own.
Bravery, however, doesn't cover the awkwardness of ordering a glass of blood from Bar. Luckily, it comes in a plastic cup that isn't clear. She'd not want to subject the rest of the bar to that.

"There goes that question," Mal offers amiably, intentional non-sequitur.

"Hello."

Weird, he surmises. Pretty, complete potential to be nice enough, but probably weird.
Milliways.
Mal extends one hand. "Reynolds. Mal Reynolds."
no subject
"Alice Cullen." She replies, setting her glass on Bar and stepping forward lightly to shake his hand. Hers is freezing, though she acts as if nothing is off. "Pleased to meet you, Mr. Reynolds."
no subject
Yup. Weird.
"Vampire, refrigerator lady or other?" Mal inquires with a smile on his face. "Just curious."

She gestures at her cup. "It's not human blood."
no subject
"Good to hear. Think it'd be a bit of a conversational non-starter if you tried, Miss Alice."

But he's stopped - with the corners of his mouth upturning - for the wonder in a new set of well known thoughts.

"Alice."

"Is this one you haven't read fifteen times?" She fiddles with her hair to hide her grin.
no subject
"The Heriodes." He said, following her smile and the thoughts that went with all of it. His gaze flickered to the cup in her hands, the fastest flicker of amused disgust before his face was still closer to content.
Edward does not approve of the blood slurpee already - three books too early.

She catches the look and gives him one of her own. "What you would rather I do? Run outside and kill a bunny?"
Alice sets the cup on his table, just to taunt him. :|

"Good evening," he replies, contentedly.

And, the best way to continue a conversation, she finds, is usually by question. "What's that you're drinking?"
no subject
Alice glances down at her cup before glancing up at Jenny. "Blood."
no subject
Head tilt. "What type?"
no subject
She takes a sip. "Doesn't really matter, I suppose, as long as I'm not eating people."
