Happy Hour

Jack has been sitting at the bar 'cleaning his gun' cleaning his gun peacefully. After a while, however, a napkin pops up on Bar's surface, and he blinks then grins down at it.

"Of course I can," he tells her. "Where'd you keep the books?"

Ten minutes later, the specials are chalked up on the board and Jack stands ready, stripped down to shirtsleeves and a grin.


    Specials - half off if you're cute.
    (Who am I kidding; it's Milliways, I'm easy. You're all cute.)

George leaned back in his seat, considering it, "Oh all right, what's in the Extraterrestrial?"

He was more about a simple pint, but was curious.

"It's a shooter," Jack says, and peers sideways at an open book.

"Irish cream, Midori, vodka and rum. Tell you the truth, I mostly picked it for the name. If you'd prefer something else, I can do that too."

"Maybe just a lager to start and then I might try it," George shrugged. It was close to the full moon so his senses were up more.

"There's a decent local one from Bristol that I like. I'll have that." George thinks he's being literal. At least he's hoping he's just being literal about drinks.

Jack holds up a finger, and pulls out a small but comprehensive map and starts referencing.

Earth - UK - England - Bristol...

"That's where you're coming in from?" he asks companionably, as he works.

"Huh," Jack says. "We're almost neighbours, considering Milliways."

"I'm based in Cardiff. Early twentieth-century, yeah?"

He's going mainly by clothing and accent.

George brightened at that with interest, "That's right, and right Cardiff, haven't been that way much. It's 2009 back there."
