Happy Hour
Jack has been sitting at the bar 'cleaning his gun' cleaning his gun peacefully. After a while, however, a napkin pops up on Bar's surface, and he blinks then grins down at it.
"Of course I can," he tells her. "Where'd you keep the books?"
Ten minutes later, the specials are chalked up on the board and Jack stands ready, stripped down to shirtsleeves and a grin.
Dirty Martini
Basil Mojito
Peach Daiquiri
Shooter: Extraterrestrial
Free if you tell me how you saved the world and I'm pretty sure you're telling me the truth.
"Happy hour, people!"
[OOC: AHAHAHAHA YOU PEOPLE.Closed to new threads now, or I'll never get anywhere with the ones already started. Poke me any other time if you missed out!
And now, bedtime. <3 I call slows and will catch up later!]

- Specials - half off if you're cute.
(Who am I kidding; it's Milliways, I'm easy. You're all cute.)

"Er what if we haven't saved the world? We don't have to pay double do we?" George wondered after glancing at the specials.

"No, I'm not that mean. Half off, like the other specials. I know long cocktails aren't everybody's thing."

He was more about a simple pint, but was curious.

"Basil's a kind of herb, kind of savoury-sweet mix? It's instead of mint, which I can totally substitute in."

Maybe a little proudly.
Mostly amused.
Somewhat cute.

"Aren't we meant to be the other way around?" Jack asks, sliding down the bar from his last customer, then grinning.
"Hi gorgeous. What'll it be?"

"Hmm, maybe it's a cultural difference there."
He starts grabbing ingredients, including a pot containing a living plant with bright green leaves, which was apparently quite happy in a fridge under the bar.

The baby in the sling may indicate that she's not indulging in the booze...but she will..."'Have an Italian soda, strawberry, if you've got it."
no subject
"No idea if it's true or not, but you get points for originality, so you can have the shooter anyway."
He's somewhat... lax with rules.
Torchwood at large is collectively shocked.
"Gimme a sec!" He ducks under the bar to hunt for soda.

"I think this shirt makes my torso look weirdly long," she says.
The t-shirt in question is a bit on the long side, and a deep blue, and has a fairly plunging neckline (which she shouldn't find awkward given all the camis she wears, but still). She blames Bela.

"So it all depends. Do you like it enough to keep wearing it?"

Susan straddles a bar stool and looks vaguely disgruntled with the universe. "But if you call me cute, I'll snap your neck."
She can pay for her full priced drinks, damn it!

It's probably a poor trait in a team leader that he's so floored by being ordered about, but there it remains.
"Yes, Ma'am," he says brightly.
He starts grabbing bottles for her shooter - somehow he's not going to contest that one.

"So does this mean the specials are half off for everybody?"

"In practise, pretty much," he says, cheerfully owning his sluttiness. "Can I tempt you?"

After the recent
argumentscivil conversations with Sam, Cal's immediate reflex is to change paths and just head home.. . . on the other hand, Cal also recently told Ianto some things that very few people get to hear, because he's come to trust Ianto enough to tell. It's all still fresh in his mind, and makes him feel more obligated than ever to be pleasant to Jack. For Ianto's sake.
After a second or two, friendly obligation wins out over lingering frustration and Cal makes his way to the Bar after all.
"Hi," he says. "Could I get some water?"
no subject
"Oh, hey Cal," he says with a smile, and stuffs the handful into a glass to muddle up later.
"Sure, one sec. Sparkling or just the basic?"
