Jack has been sitting at the bar 'cleaning his gun' cleaning his gun peacefully. After a while, however, a napkin pops up on Bar's surface, and he blinks then grins down at it.

"Of course I can," he tells her. "Where'd you keep the books?"

Ten minutes later, the specials are chalked up on the board and Jack stands ready, stripped down to shirtsleeves and a grin.

"I can do that too. What kind? As far as I can tell, we have... all of them."

"That I can do," Jack says, peering down the row of spigots. As luck or narrative convenience would have it, the Newcastle is not too far down, and he snags a pint glass on the way over.

Lorne watches Jack as he goes, smiling a little. Just because he can't touch, doesn't mean he can't look...

Jack could very well be a patron saint of looking.

Even when mostly monogamous himself!

In any case, he pulls a pint with reasonable efficiently, either oblivious or cheerfully accepting of any and all ogling.

"Theeeere we go," he says. "Like riding a spacebike."

Lorne laughs as he takes it. "Spacebike, huh? Wouldn't it be kinda hard to get enough friction for the tires?"

"Hovertech. No tires on vacuum!"

You think that's ridiculous, wait till you hear about the extrapolator/space surfboard!

Lorne laughs. "Yeah, I guess that would do it." He offers Jack his hand. "Major Evan Lorne. Nice to meet you."

Jack passes him his drink, then shakes enthusiastically.

"Captain Jack Harkness, good to meet you."

"You're..." He chuckles. "You must be Ianto's Jack."

Jack frowns sideways in amusement at the term, but laughs too.

"I guess I am, at that," he says. "Reputation preceding me?"

"Sort of," Lorne says, smirking. "I'm...sort of seeing the other one."

"Right," says Jack, after approximately an ice-age.

Well, it feels like that to him.

"Sorry," Lorne says, looking concerned. "I...is there a problem?"
