Happy Hour

Jack has been sitting at the bar 'cleaning his gun' cleaning his gun peacefully. After a while, however, a napkin pops up on Bar's surface, and he blinks then grins down at it.

"Of course I can," he tells her. "Where'd you keep the books?"

Ten minutes later, the specials are chalked up on the board and Jack stands ready, stripped down to shirtsleeves and a grin.

Ava smiles, just a little secretive.

"It's sort of specific," she admits cheerfully.

"How's the mojito?"

"Hmm, I know how that goes," Jack says, with a nostalgic sigh.

"The mojito's going down well this evening!" he adds. "All signs indicate delicious. Want one?"

"I'm nnnnot sure about the basil," Ava says thoughtfully.

"But I'll try it! Hit me."

Jack grins.

"Better than it sounds. Bear with me."

Hmmm... where was that muddling stick? Sugar, limes, ice, rum... No, good rum...

He starts adding lime slices and basil leaves to a chilled glass with the ease of practise.

"So. Specific someone, huh? You meet him here, or your world?"

Jack knows what bartenders are for! Apart from supplying drinks, that is.

Ava comes to the Bar and swings up into a seat.

"Here," she replies, easy.

"He's from a totally normal world without witches, jetpacks, or robots."

Jack's eyebrow go up.

"Wow," he says. "It sounds practically unique."

"I know, right?"

Ava sounds wryly amused.

"He's so weird."
