Two Men in Black come walking through the Door, and for once it's the taller one who looks cranky:
"Another one? What do you mean, 'They made another one?'"
"Like I said," the rounder one growls. "They made another one."
"It's been ten years! How the hell could they make another one?"
"Easy. They piled up a stack of cold, hard cash, and threw it at everybody in sight."
"Huh," K ponders. "Did they get everyone back?"
Zed shrugs. "Everybody who matters."
"Those two are even older than we are! Are you telling me they built a movie around those two gray-haired--."
"--Balding--."
"--Wheezing, decrepit--. Hell, my guy's got to be older than dirt by now."
Zed gives K a long look. "Let me buy ya a drink. Then I got to tell you something...."

Ok, now the taller one is pissed off for some reason.

"...Younger. Sort of."
"Ok, he's not exactly young. But more than you."
The taller one is just glaring now.

The rounder guy puffs up. "That, my friend, is pure envy. I am getting more august and grander with every passing year."
"Getting more something," the tall guy mutters as he finally does throw back his drink.

So he's staring quite readily while seated at the bar, his paper crown on his top hat.

The rounder one squints at him for another long moment. "Drink your drink."
"...What's that supposed to mean?"

Which makes it funnier.

K looks up to the rafters and shakes his head. But he does throw back his drink. That part really does seem like good advice just now.

That face he's making isn't a happy one.

Seeing the Variety, Zed rolls his eyes at the rafters. "Michael Bay. You poor bastards."

Mike sighs, hops down from his spot, and shuffles over towards the MIBs.
"You know what makes matters even worse that Bay? The fact that in canon I'm supposed to LOVE Bay. Which...Okay, I'll totally admit I did until he did that thing to the poor Transformers."
Here be the point where the Barman lays his forehead down on Bar's top and just sighs.

Zed growls. "When's he going to give that a rest? I told him that was the best deal we could get. If a Drillian's got its dorsal sac set on directing a movie, it's damn well going to direct it."
no subject
"Yeah, I bet he is. Though...you've got to admit the shooting straight up into the air while yelling thing is kind of awesome. There are so days when I want to do that just for the sheer awesome of it.
Then I remember that I hate guns," he says with an easy shrug.
"Tell J that when he watches all of the Coming Out of Their Shells AND Next Mutation then, and ONLY then, can he whine to me. Until then he'll just have to wear his big-boy pants and tough it through."
no subject
"Yeah," Zed looks at K. "You tell him."
"Coward," K replies, with the trace of a smirk.
"No guns, eh?" Zed asks. "Not even glop guns?"

The crowding's not as bad in midtown as it was last week. Of course, this is like saying the Frank Slide wasn't as bad as Monte Toc. Either way, Ray's still here for a breather.

Zed draws out his MiBlackberry, mashes a few buttons, and turns the holo-display so Ray can get a good view of the MiB3 trailer.
Zed suspects Ray will understand the problem better than most people.

"What do you want from me?" Zed growls. "He was a refugee. The Imperatrix of Bulbus II pulled the arms and legs off the last guy who did a profile about her. So Sonnenfeld goes and does an expose about that weekend fling she had with Neeble. Even *I* didn't want to see what woulda happened to him if I shipped his ass back there."

He nods to Zed. "Better give the Liberty Torch another test flash next week."
