Two Guys walk into a Bar.
Well. Not quite. There is one Guy is holed up in an otherwise empty booth, referencing the current state of Milliways against the last chapter in the book he is reading.
There is, however, a small face peeking around the Door. He seems to have found the magic room that hides in his home once again. It is a shame that his brother and sisters are not near so that they can see he was telling the truth before.
Still, that does not mean he cannot see if the
queenofmay is still here. It's with this in mind that the small boy enters and hovers next to the Door.

There is some measure of confusion. The child looks like he did, when he was that age.
Surely...?
But things are not as they usually are here are they?
Guy slide out of the booth and knelt on one knee next to the boy. "What is your name, boy?"
no subject
The younger, living Guy of Gisborne is understandably somewhat frightened.
"Guy."
no subject
He has frightened himself. Only in Milliways.
Guy is not good with small children. Still, he was a boy once. He was this boy. It can't be that hard.
"Did you come here on your own?"
no subject
His gaze is drawn back to the man in black though.
"Is your name really Guy?"
no subject
He remembers mostly that everyone said he was sullen as an older boy.
Guy does not risk it.
"I believe your parents thought of me when they named you."
Strictly speaking, they did.

Guy rises stiffly. He dimly wonders at his joints stiffening even though he is dead.
"Would you like to sit with me?" He nodded towards the booth he had been occupying. "I was thinking of having some cake."
One thing he does remember is that he used to get scolded quite often for getting into the pantry and nibbling the cakes stored there."
no subject
Guy loves cake. It is his favourite. Mama only lets him have cake on special occasions and if he has been a good boy.
Which is not often enough for his liking. So he sometimes goes looking for cake when he is not supposed to.
"I like cake," is his answer as he follows Guy to the booth and scrambles up to kneel on the seat.

Guy slid in round the other side of the booth and asked a passing waitrat for two slices of cake. He wondered briefly, what they might be able to bring, considering the state of the Bar.
He...has run out of things to say to himself.

a princess?a security member?a prisoner?Marian, perhaps?Given that she's still rather used to the jags of being bound longer than being home, Marian is just now letting herself in through the Back Door. Shaking snow and ice from heavy hood and long cloak she borrowed from Arch. Her own long gone, like everything else she once owned.

But there was the top of a small head with black hair buried down there in her skirts and cloak flaps. And she's drawing back the latter at least to look down at the shiny black, saying confusedly. "Hello, there?"

"Hello!"
no subject
Oh.
Right. "Guy?"
Because 'Sir Guy' would be preposterous.
no subject
"Princess!"
Guy looks up at her adoringly.
no subject
Oh. Right.
Again.
"Guy," Marian tried, again. A calm pressure trying to get her voice to be smooth. "It might be best, if we were not standing in the way of the door."
She could not promise not toppling on him the second time, if he were still clutching her legs and someone else were to come rushing in the Back Door with any speed or lack of paying attention.
no subject
Still, he untangled himself and looked up at Marian expectantly.
