Two Guys walk into a Bar.

Well. Not quite. There is one Guy is holed up in an otherwise empty booth, referencing the current state of Milliways against the last chapter in the book he is reading.


There is, however, a small face peeking around the Door. He seems to have found the magic room that hides in his home once again. It is a shame that his brother and sisters are not near so that they can see he was telling the truth before.

Still, that does not mean he cannot see if the queenofmay is still here. It's with this in mind that the small boy enters and hovers next to the Door.

[OOC: Two Guys. One dead, one tiny. Have either one, the other or both!]

"One would not assume that book would help you now," Teja says, approaching the man in the booth.

[landlesslord]

"I do not expect it to," Guy replied, looking up. "But perhaps it can tell us what we might expect."

[ostro_goth]

"Doom," Teja says. "It is easy to understand, but hard to bear when it happens."

[landlesslord]

"Perhaps." He answered. "But did you think we could avoid it forever?"

[ostro_goth]

"No," Teja says, almost amused. "I would never entertain such a dangerous delusion. All things must end, even the afterlife."

[landlesslord]

"It will end for you," Guy remembered what Teja mentioned before. "You expect nothingness after this."

It is not what Guy expects.

[ostro_goth]

"Do you truly believe that each man shall get what he expects?" Teja says.

[landlesslord]

"I had expected Hell and damnation," Guy gestures to the Bar around him. "Instead I came here."

[ostro_goth]

"And why should you get that which you expect, one afterlife in?" Teja says.

[landlesslord]

"It is the teaching of the Church." No matter the course of his actions, his faith is something Guy has been mindful of.

[ostro_goth]

"And what compels you to believe in those, after all you saw after your death?" Teja says.

[landlesslord]

"Faith." The teachings of the Church and the Bible are some of the only things Guy accepts with little question. "Nothing I have seen has changed that."

[ostro_goth]

"Then you are a lucky man, in the safety and simplicity of your belief," Teja says.

[landlesslord]

"If I am, then it is the only luck I have been blessed with." Part of Guy wonders if he might not have preferred to be lucky in love or in family life instead.

[ostro_goth]

"All here that expect another afterlife after this," Teja says, "at least that I have spoken with, expect to go to hell. I wonder why that is?"

[landlesslord]

"Have you been keeping bad company?" Guy is bad company. Or at least, he used to be. "Perhaps they have not recently received absolution."

[ostro_goth]

"It is the company this place gives me," Teja says. "But then, I do not believe in other men's face. The devil has ever been quite friendly to me."

[landlesslord]

"Then you have been lucky," Guy commented. "Or your motives were purer than most."

[ostro_goth]

"My motives may have been pure," Teja says, "but my methods, much less so. I was ever the ruthless one."

[landlesslord]

"I was the same," he admitted. "Though my motives were not quire so pure perhaps."

[ostro_goth]

"I ever did what was necessary, for my people," Teja says, "getting my hands bloody so none else would have to, and never taking any thing for myself."

[landlesslord]

"That's very noble of you."

Guy never really had any people to belong to. His actions were taken for himself, for the most part.

"I was never quite so selfless."

[ostro_goth]

"It was not selfless," Teja says. "I loved these people, and nothing feels worse than losing those you love, so you will do anything, just anything, for their sake."

[landlesslord]

"I know that feeling," Guy lost the woman he loved and now that he is here, will lose her over again at his own hand. "I was responsible for that loss though.

"I did not have the courage to do just anything."

"You were responsible?" Teja asks, looking at Guy with something between doubt, and deep sadness.
