Tara comes downstairs and goes over to the bar, sitting at one end.

"Could I get a cup of tea with milk and sugar please, sweetness?"

The tea arrives and she sips it, glancing around the bar. She kind of wants to talk to Isabel again, and is torn between wanting to talk to Warren and wanting to leave the poor boy alone.

Jonathan waves back, very nervously, and forces himself to go over to her.

"Um. H-hi."

"Hi, Jonathan."

It's hard to be nervous around Jonathan. She smiles and sips her tea again.

"Are y-you... how are you?"

"Me? I'm okay. A little overwhelmed by this place, but okay. You?"

"Oh, uh... no-not bad. It's a good place when you get used to it."

"It seems like a good place. The people are certainly nice, at least the ones I've met are. Very helpful."

She decides to bite the bullet. "From the stuttering, can I assume you know I'm dead?"

"...yeah, I know. Uh, me too. Later."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

She resists the urge to touch his hand, reasoning it might not go down so well. She hopes his death was as quick as hers was.

He hadn't expected her to be so nice, in the circumstances. It almost makes it worse.

"Have you, uh... talked to the others again?"

"I've talked to Warren, and someone called Tim told me that there were other people from Sunnydale here." She hesitates. "Jonathan - Warren told me what happened, with me. Or didn't, but in such a way that I could figure it out."

"Yeah, uh... Andrew told me he had. And you're... still talking to us?"

Simply, "Someone told me this is a place where people can change."

He gives her a smile of pure relief and answers equally simply, "It is."

"So I don't see the point in being angry. Besides, this is a very interesting place."

He grins faintly. "It really is. How're you settling in?"

"Not too badly. I have a room, and the bar is lovely... it's weird, though, I haven't actually needed to eat or drink anything. I get tea every now and then just for the reminder, but other than that... is that normal?"

"I think it varies. I think the dead... don't have to eat, but we can and most of us do. Or maybe it's different for all of us."

"Huh. Well, I have to admit it's useful, and cheaper. The tea is still nice, though."

"Buffy comes in sometimes, did you know? I think she's from later than either of us, though."

"Tim said she came in, yeah. Who else comes in from Sunnydale? He said pretty much the whol gang, but that's kind of a broad definition."

"Uh, I haven't seen anybody except Andrew and Warren and Buffy. But there could be others."

"Oh, all three of you guys are here? That must be nice."

Trying to keep her voice steady, "so you don't know about any of the others? Xander, maybe, or - Willow?"

He watches her carefully and his voice is quiet when he answers, "I haven't seen them. But that doesn't mean they haven't been here, necessarily."

She sighs, then shrugs.

"Ah well. If they are, I'll probably see them at some point. It's not like I have anywhere else to go. And if they're not... well, there're lots of other interesting people around."

"Who've you met so far?"
