Anya glances around. "Is she here right now?"

Warren glances as well.

"Yeah, she's serving that guy with the neck...problem... (http://www.livejournal.com/community/milliways_bar/2497828.html)"

Anya glances over. "Oh! That's Adam. Don't worry, you have nothing to worry about if she's your girlfriend. He's a drag queen and very gay."

"Well, I'm not...worried, I mean...why should I be...worried?" He stammers. "Because I'm not. She can, uh, talk...to people. It's fine. ...She loves me."

Anya smiles. "Glad to hear that. How long have you two been together?"

"Um...a little over a month," he mumbles. He expects she'll make fun of that.

"Awwww... how cute! Are you planning babies yet? Wait, can dead people even have babies?"

"What? No! Babies? We aren't even...I mean she lives with me, but...that's...too...no!" He sputters.

Anya grins. "No babies? Okay."

"But I am curious. Can dead people have babies?"

"Uh. I don't think so. I mean, she's...not dead, but...no," Warren decides.

Anya gets a sad look on her face. "Oh. Okay."

"Uh, logic would dictate," he points out. "Not just me."

Anya nods. "Of course. Logic."

That still doesn't mean she's not disappointed a little.

"Adoption is an...option," he rhymes, unintentionally.

Anya looks at him. "And where would you find babies to adopt here?"

"There's one that walks around sometimes," Warren huffs. "I've talked to it."

"Oh, you mean that little baby who was crying last night? I think she belongs to someone."

Anya lifts an eyebrow. "And you can't go randomly picking babies."

"I don't. I'm not going to. I'm just saying," he protests.

"And what do you need a baby for, anyway?"

Now it's Anya's turn to almost flail.

"What? I don't need a baby. They're just... cute, that's all. And I never had the chance to have any with Xander."

"They're not cute, they're all...small...and vulnerable and needy and loud. And you have to...take care of them."

Warren wrinkles his nose.

"Well, yes, I suppose they can be all that. But they're also cute!"

Anya nods, for this is a fact.

"How about the baby you've talked to? Isn't she cute?"

Warren shrugs.

"I dunno. It's a baby. It bites."

"It didn't bite me. It did cling to my leg, but didn't bite."

Warren nods.

"It bit my robot."

Anya blinks. "Another robot? Haven't you learned your lesson about robots?"
