Liam walks in through the front door.

There's a small blonde girl sitting on his shoulders.

Walt shrugged. "I dunno."

"They don't tell me everything," Walt said, eyes on his drawing. "They just sort of give me bits and pieces."

"...Who's "they", Walt?"

"My friends," Walt said simply.

"Do they have names?"

He suddenly stopped drawing, frozen in place, "The Yellow Sign. The Haunter of the Dark. Dagon. And their friends." He seemed transported as he said their names, to someplace very far away.

Someplace very dark and cold and far away.

Liam eyes him, suddenly very worried.

"...Are you sure you can trust them?" he asks finally, quietly.

Walt nodded, and looked up at him. "Yeah, of course I can. They're just my imaginary friends, aren't they?" Walt said, looking at Liam as if he were stupid.

"...Sure they are." Just your imaginary friends who tell you true things and prophecies.

He straightens sharply. "I think I'd better go and find Megan. I'll send your dog back your way."

"Thanks," Walt said, still drawing. Whatever he was drawing had lots of eyes. "It was nice meeting you, Liam."

"And you, Walt." He walks away quickly, trying not to shudder at what he saw of the drawing.
