After being woken up by his daughter Ryan found it hard to go back to sleep. So, after a quick shower and change of clothes he is downstairs looking for her.

Instead of finding Chris he sees another familiar face

"Yeah, kinda. I think I went overboard though - I haven't wanted a cigarette since. Which is probably a good thing."

Kim grins a little. "It's probably a good idea to do everything in moderation. For instance, I think I've OD'd on burgers for now."

"Well, at least now you'll have an excuse to try something you wouldn't normally have. I'm sure the bar could make anything you'd want."

"Good point. What's your favorite kind of food?"

"Italian - I think I like anything Italian. Especially fusilli in a good pesto sauce or cozze. And cannolis but only if they're made with real cannoli cream, not the fake stuff. You?"

"American. But I also have a weakness for Mexican and Thai. Italian is good too, though. Then again, it's LA so people try to stay away from pasta. What is cozze?"

"I think the anti-carb fad is ridiculous. I like Mexican food a lot but could never really get into Thai food."

Ryan pauses to order a drink from the bar. All this food talk is starting to make him hungry.

"Uh, cozze, literally are black mussels. I really like "impepata di cozze" which is very spicy black mussels. It's not rare but it's easier to get on the east coast because they have a larger supply of clams and mussels."

"Luckily I think that's starting to go away. Maybe. Oh, but Thai food has so much flavor, I think that's what you have to love about it."

Kim smiles a little. "Is it really different on the East coast?"

"The food or life in general?"

"Food. I pretty much know that life is different there in a few ways."

"They're not as extreme in their views on fat. Or carbs. Or sugar. Or any of the other things that make food worth eating."

"Oh, so eating is actually fun on the east coast. Good thing to know."

Ryan laughs.

"That's the big difference, yes. But one thing I will say for Los Angeles they have some good pizza places. There are some places between New York in LA where there idea of pizza -- it's just sad. Only Domino's or Pizza Hut."

"True, but pizza has all those carbs so no one really enjoys eating it."

"Yes, but those people are probably masochists who like being miserable."

"So you mean they all work at Division?" She smiles a little.

He smirks.

"That would explain a lot."

"So pizza would make Division happy. Should keep that in mind," she smiles a little.

"Trust me, I was one of them. Nothing would make them happy," he says smiling.

"I think I should go look for Chris now, it was nice talking to you, Kim."

"I hope you find her. It was nice talking to you too, Uncle Ryan." She grins at that, having decided on a good nickname.

Ryan is surprised and touched by this. So much so it's almost rendered him speechless.

"Thank you," his says with a look on his face that can only be described as a "dopey grin".

"Good night, Kim. Take care."

"Good night," she grins and turns to the bar to order something to eat.
