He orders an apple martini and settles himself at his usual table, idly flexing his still-dusty wings and then wincing at the protest of sore muscles*

A holiday sounds like fun. I haven't been on one in ages, myself. Not likely to get one anytime soon, either, what with the present goings-on.

You know what? We'll talk about it when you get back from holiday. I want you to have a lovely time and not think about Real Life.

Real Life. Going to have to face that soon, aren't I, Tonks? This, with Door, has been like a dream. Or a nightmare, depending on what was going on. But it
has made me so different, I haven't wanted to think about what is happening in your time.

*takes a drink and looks haunted for a moment, then visibly shakes it off*

But you're right. I want to have a lovely time, and I want Door to have a lovely time, too.

Good. I'm sure Door and Ingress will enjoy themselves immensely. How long will you be gone?

We'll be gone for two weeks. I told Door we could send letters by owl post, and then anyone who wants to can write us back.

Oh, blast, almost forgot, Door's let in another resident. Actually Ingress invited him - lad by the name of Holden. While we're gone, Tonks, will you keep an eye on things at the house? Use one of the house owls to contact us, if you need to - I'll charm them to know how to find us.
