Kim comes downstairs, she's still carrying Angels and Demons, but still isn't really in the mood to read it.
She sits at the Bar and orders a chicken salad sandwich.

"That sounds right. He mentioned a few peoples but some of the details were vague - for obvious reasons. The only one he mentioned by name was George Mason."

And she regrets it the minute she sees Chris's reaction. Where was a Mason for Chris's dad?

Kim looks down and bites her lip.
"Did you get to explore outside?"

"Yes, I did. I went out by the lake and the through some of the woods. My father mentioned something about, um, very vicious rabbits?"
Because even if she was in a sentient bar at the end of the universe, the idea of "demon bunnies" still struck her as odd.

"My sister Caiti hates him but she campaigned for Palmer so she's not terribly impartial," with a wrinkle of her nose she adds, "my brother might have voted for him though."

'That was right after he killed Ryan' she realizes now and suddenly has to get out of there.
"Um, I'm sorry, excuse me Chris," she apologizes badly and walks quickly to the stairs.

She would have to remember to mention this to her dad and ask him what was up with the Bauers. She knew he didn't care for gossiping but if she was going to keep upsetting them, Chris felt she deserved to know.
