Entrance Post
Thinking about Sara, Grissom hasn't noticed that he did not walk out of her apartment building. Gradually, the unfamiliar sights and sounds of his new environment permeate his mind.
He looks around, taking it in with an atypical expression of complete befuddlement.
"This is not Las Vegas," he finally says, needing to voice the thought.

Experiences indeed. He could still remember the sick sense of helplessness when he saw Greg's unmoving body, the fierce rage when he saw Sara's injuries.
"Then I must have missed her. I left a message. I hope she will at least call." He raises an eyebrow at the mention of a party. Sara normally avoids such things.

"Bad experiences with bombers then? It's a pity people can't be more responsible about their explosives." She tsks. This from a girl who believes most anything can be fixed with a good explosion.
"And I don't think she's been home since she got fired. It was rather a shock. Even if she did know he was a world-class git." If Ecklie ever comes in here, he'd better be careful around this particular pyro.

He sighs. "He is a--world class git, you said?--and is very much in love with kissing political ass and making himself look good. He fired her to hurt me, more than to attack her, if that is any consolation. Which I know it truly isn't all the same." Wow. Grissom has opened up more to Ace in the past five minutes than he has to Sara in the past five years. He feels faintly ashamed.

"Yeah, I did that once. When I was first getting into explosives. I was lucky only part of the chemistry building fell down." She looks slightly guilty at that, but moves on quickly.
"All the same? He comes in here, and I'm going to take great pleasure in getting him into as many sticky situations as possible. The possibilities are nearly endless, here."
no subject
"I don't know if he ever will. I'm not certain how I would up here myself." He shrugs slightly. "Are there any rules I should know about the place?"

"No business in the bar, no naked in the bar, no violence in the bar. Death drinks here, don't make her work on her time off. Be nice to the babies, don't ask Snow White about the dwarves, and if it wears black, it can probably kill you with a thought." She pauses. "Oh. And the Oompa Loompas are real, not a hallucination."
no subject
A thought occurs. "What exactly do you mean by 'business'?"

Something is scurrying around his feet. He looks down and sees rats. "Is this normal?"

"I hope the bar can accept my world's currency."
no subject
"If it can handle the sort of currency I've been throwing at it, I'm sure it can take US dollars. Even if you lot have really boring looking money." Honestly. Even English pounds look more interesting.

He sighs and looks at one of the rats. "May I have a glass of water?" The rat scampers off.
He gives Ace a slight smile. "So what is your story?" If he's going to be here, he might as well get to know the people of the joint.
no subject
"Oh, I travelled about with a Time Lord, they're from Gallifrey, and generally saved the universe a lot. And blew things up. Did both when I could. It was great fun." She beams happily.
no subject
"I see. Well, my life is rather boring by comparison. Forensic entomologist." He shrugs.
no subject
"What's that?"

No, Ace doesn't do normal, why?
no subject
Eh, Grissom races cockroaches for fun. He doesn't do normal either.
