Ryan is sitting at the bar.

He didn't sleep very well.

Right now he's smoking his second third cigarette, drinking coffee and thinking.

Bother him if you want but be warned - he's not in the best mood.

Jack looks around as comes down the stairs, and spots Ryan sitting at the bar. Christine isn't anywhere to be seen, and Ryan doesn't look in the best of moods, which should be a hint but he wants to know for certain anyway.

Jack walks over to ths stool next to Ryan and leans on it. "Hi, Ryan."

Ryan keeps looking forward and ashes his cigarette.

"I spoke to Chris."

Jack looks down at the bar top, at the smudges and fingerprints on its surface. "Guess I don't really need to ask how she took it."

"I'm not even sure how she took it. To be honest. She didn't say a whole lot afterwards. Not really saying much now."

Jack slides onto the stool; he's going to need a drink if he's going to think about this at all. As if sensing this, the bar produces a cup of coffee. Not exactly what he wanted, but at this point, probably the best idea.

"God, Ryan, I'm sorry you had to tell her this at all."

"Better me than finding it out from someone else here," Ryan says with a shrug and continues smoking his cigarette.

"It would have been easier if I never told Chloe and we could avoid all this."

Ryan turns and notices the person near him at the bar.

"Uh, hello."

Scorpion see Ryan, not knowing anything he says "is Peace welcome here?"

Ryan furrowed his brows a bit. Unsure if he meant the concept or that his name was peace.

Scorpion looks with curiosity as if he wondered to himself "peace is a person too?" Anyway, this bar, this realm is totally new for him. Scorpion seeks more guidance for he was just born today.

Rochefort emerges from the shadows and takes the seat next to Ryan's, nodding silently in greeting. "Monsieur."

"Monsieur," he rplies and lights a new cigarette after finishing the first.

Rochefort has learned from observation that most of the other patrons here speak English, which annoys him, but when in Rome...

He nods towards the cigarettes. "Might I borrow one?"

"Sure," Ryan says.

He taps the pack and then holds the open end towards the man so he can take a cigarette out.

Rochefort takes a cigarette. "Merci."

He's a man of few words, but he suppose might as well engage his companion in conversation; he admits to being curious about the other patrons who seem to be trapped here. "So," he says. "Where are you from, monsieur?"

"I'm from a city called Los Angeles in the United States of America. When I arrived here it was the year 2008 there. And yourself?"

Judging by his use of French and his attire, Ryan was guessing France in the 17th or 18th century.

Scorpion smells smoke, uses it as an escape (excuse to leave) from the bar, as he leaves he drops off a message "quit smoking" Peace... ::teleports::

Ryan's eyebrows crawl up his forehead when the stranger disappears.

"Ok."

He puts out his cigarette, finishes the rest of his coffee and goes upstairs.

Kim spots Ryan who seems to be in not too good a mood. There's only one thing she can think of that might make him feel that way and a chill goes down her back as she remembers the dream.

She walks over. "Hi Ryan."
