Ingress's Sixth Birthday Party

*It's eleven o'clock on Saturday morning, thanks to Millitime, and the stage is set for Ingress's birthday out by the lake. The House of Arch family has gathered around a perfect picnic spot under a tree. Right beside them is a playground Tom has conjured just for the occaision. There is a swingset, a slide, a merry go round, and a sandbox charmed with sand that's perfect for building.

Ingress is wearing a gown fit for a princess. It has been charmed against stains and ripping just for this special day. She is also wearing a blinking button which reads "I am 6!" She is very, very, very excited.

Tom, Door, Gavroche, and Megwyn are putting finishing decorating touches on the picnic tables set up with a gigantic cake, gallons of ice cream from Florean Fontescue's ice cream parlor, and punch. There is also a table with baskets of wizarding crackers. These are gifts for the guests - once the crackers are popped, the recipient will get a hat of some kind (maybe there will be a plethora of pirate hats!) and a wizarding toy or game like chess or gobstones. Or whatever else you'd like - the guest gets to decide!

There are several chairs under the tree as well, providing a good view of the playground.

Ohhh, no, don't worry about it. If she's too wired to sleep I'll just send her out to play with Crowley in the sandbox. He deserves it, I'm sure. For... something.

Ha, good. I'd hoped Crowley would stop by, but I don't imagine large children's parties are his preferred social milieu.

Shall I leave this playground set up, do you think? It might be nice for Sunny and the other children who find themselves here.

I'm putting one up in the House, as well. An inside playground. I think it will make our lives much less frazzled on rainy days.

Sunny has a 'castle' for those. Which consists of a few blankets and a chair. She and Ellie sit in there for ages, playing.

Ingress likes to roam. Luckily the house is large enough to keep her busy most days. Besides, she has Gavroche to play with. That helps.

I'm sure it does. It's definitely nice that Bernard is home with her most of the time, during the day -- and, of course, she manages to make the entire bar her playground, whether we like it or not.

He's all right. We're dealing with it. He'll likely drive himself up the wall by the time the house-arrest is over, but so far he's still in one piece.

*He's not going to tell Tonks about his encounter with Crouch today. There's no sense in worrying her on such a lovely day.
