Yes, it is a Cap'n.
Might be hard to recognize really, as he is not wearing his traditional duster and suspenders; can't deal with 'em sitting over his fun new soon-to-be pretty scars, y'see.
Slipping his way to the Bar pretty much unnoticed - he thinks - he picks up some hot tea and finds an overstuffed chair and ottoman somewhere near the observation window.
[OOM: Mal is off for the night, as mun cannot sleep through her alarm clock again tomorrow. If one is particularly interested, tag for a slowtimed convo tomorrow.]

Her hair - still arse-length - is braided, so he is spared the hair-inna-face.

"But I did get exploded." Mal points to his back, where a bandage is visible through his cotton shirt. "Right here."
"...Did you scalp some folk and add it to your own hair?"

She shrugs, smiling. "Nah. Dream took me on a little vacation. Few hours here, five months where I was. Needed the time away."
no subject
"Been thinkin' of a vacation my own self. 'Course, I have to see what's going on in the minds o' the crew."

"Benefit of being friends with the Endless - time is kind of a suggestion. I could have been gone for years and had only a second pass if I'd wanted to."
no subject
"Not sure my brain could handle playin' with time like that. Time goes fast enough; don't need folk slowing it down for me just as I am getting used to the pace o' things."

"Good afternoon. Or is it evening?"
no subject
"Don't think I seen you about here before."
no subject
"Lando Calrissian. I've been coming here for about three weeks, my time."
no subject
"Sorry - havin' bit of an issue with the other side bein' a bit sore. Doc said I gotta take it easy for a while."

"Been gettin' 'em a bit too of'en I think. At least I won't have to worry 'bout the Alliance on my back for awhile." Mal settles in for another sip of tea, not exactly realizing that he should explain Alliance to folk he don't know directly.

"Hey, I came to see you yesterday but you were totally passed out. You feeling better today?"
no subject
"Simon keeps uppin' the nerve block on my back; can't feel too much where he pulled pointy things outta me."
no subject
She pretty much succeeds, too.
"Well that's good, right? Sounds like it's more effective then popping some Percoset, anyway."
no subject
"Very effective. Simon keeps uppin' it apparently to stop me from rippin' stitches. I kinda want to anyway to see him try to scold me."
Mal is bizarre. Apologies.

And oh, but the smile that suddenly appears is very bright-- with a murmured word to the others, she comes across the room.
"Long days and pleasant nights, Mal."
no subject
"'S good to see ya, Susan," Mal beams. "How is Cuthbert?"
no subject
"It's good to see ye-- to see ye awake, and here," she clarifies.
"'Bert's doing all right, if fidgety. He'll be better soon, we hope."
no subject
Mal sits back down and motions for Susan to follow.
"How's everyone else? Anthy, Tom, Roland, River? Ain't seen a one of 'em about yet."
no subject
"Tom and Anthy-- I didn't understand clear what it were-- but they're all right, I think."
Softly, oh so softly, she adds,
"Roland's gone."
