"Well I've seen people around...there was a rock thing I saw earlier, but uh, didn't talk to." She thinks. "I think so far, for me, the weirdest thing was seeing fighter pilots from Rogue Squadron. I've wanted to meet one for ages. And now I know two."

And she marries one and yaaay! This mun loves Sera's canon. What little there is of it!

"A rock thing?" she quirks an eyebrow.

"I don't know what it was." She wrinkles her nose. "But it had...tendrils? Pfft. I can't tell you."

"Hmm," Claire nods. "I think the weirdest thing for me, really, was my son's adoptive father coming in here about twelve years younger than he is now. There's so much you shouldn't tell him. Or show him."

"Wow. That would be...so..." Words fail her. They really do.

"Yeah, it was weird," she grins. "He's a nice kid though, really. But I still think that bets the demonic bunnies and the human turtle and the talking dog."

What? Claire's been in the bar a long time.

Sera's eyebrows raise. "Er...wow."

You've made Sera speechless.

Oh my.

(slowtime? I've got school in the morning...I am le tired.)

Yay?

Claire laughs. "Yeah. Wow."

She sighs. "Milliways."

Sera grins. "Kriff, that's..wild."

She touches Seth's nose. "So...Seth's adopted?"

"Er. . .I'm his natural mother, but his father didn't want to be apart of his life, so my friend adopted him."

"Aw, that's great. I'm so glad you have someone who wanted to adopt him." Her heart is melting. Sera is a sap.

"You're a great mother, and I'm sure Seth's dad is great too." She wrinkles her nose at the baby and makes a face.

"Thank you," she smiles. "And Seth's father is wonderful. I'm very lucky to have so many friends around here to help me out."

"That's so great. You don't know how happy it makes me to see you happy and you're kid happy and to know he's got an adoptive father. It makes me feel like, 'hey, this is what my job is about.' Not the beauracracy of it all."

Claire smiles. "I imagine your job must be very rewarding as well as very frustrating, often at the same time."

Seth giggles at Sera's enthusiasm and reaches his hands out for her to hold him.

Sera reaches back for him, and glances at Claire, "May I?"

"Of course," she grins and shifts him over. "He loves new people to hold him."

Seth smiles, showing off his one tooth, and pats Sera's face almost-gently.

Sera holds him and grins, running her fingers on his soft arm. "You are so adorable...''

"Yes. I am. I get that a lot." He babbles in babyspeak at her as he reaches for her hair.

Claire laughs and reaches up to block Seth's hand at the pass. "Careful. Once he gets a hold of it, he'll never let go."

"That's why I keep it short." Sera giggles, holding her head back. Sera bounces him on her knees.

"I'm not brave enough to cut mine," she grins. "But he's a little more. . .gently with me than all of his girlfriends here in the bar."

"It's very pretty." Sera says. "I always wanted long hair, but I grew up in a tropic climate...so short hair."

"Thank you," she smiles. "And I understand a little. I grew up in Australia which was very hot, but not nearly as hot as it was on the island."

The names are all so unfamiliar to Sera. So she just nods, and makes a face at Seth. "Uh-huh..."

"You have no idea what I'm talking about do you?" she laughs.

"Not in the least. But if I started talking about Coruscant and Chandrillia, you'd not understand me, so we're even." Sera grins.
