It's late, but Behrooz is sitting alone outside, looking out at the dark lake. He knows this probably isn't a good idea, but he didn't feel like staying inside tonight.
He'd been reading some sheet music the Bar had given him earlier, but now it's on the ground, held down by a small rock.
Feel free to bother.

"Yeah," he says. "Everything's fine."
no subject
"Yeah? Good. What's that?" his eyes flicker to the sheet music. He can see quite well what it is, but figured it would be polite to ask.

He looks over to it, and pulls it forward a little.
"Nothing," he says quietly. "I was... looking at it earlier."

"I've... been practicing," he says.

"It's been... something to do," he says, "while I'm... here."

He's glad he could give Behrooz something. Something he seems to enjoy.

"Thank you for... teaching me and everything..."

He's about to say 'nothing' but instead says, "Something just happened a while ago. It's not a big deal."
no subject
"If you say so." His tone clearly says, he doesn't buy it. But, he's learned not to push. Pushing gets him nowhere with Behrooz.

"It's... one of the people my mother worked with... is here. Or was..."
no subject
"Did this person try to hurt you?"
no subject
"That truth spell... was caused by him," he says.
no subject
"You said he was here. So, he's not in the bar now?" Which doesn't mean he can't come back.

House wonders if Behrooz will ever get a break, because it seems like bad luck follows the poor kid like a shadow.
He also wonders, if someone who may be a threat to him could be hanging around undetectable, why is Behrooz outside by hmself? Not that he'd be any better off inside, but there are generally more people around.
"Is there anything ic an do?"
no subject
"I don't think so," he says quietly.

Triumph rolled over in her sleep and sighed.
no subject
"Yeah," he murmurs. "I know."
no subject
"You want to come inside? I should probably get Triumph upstairs before Allison freaks out thinking I've fallen or something."
no subject
Behrooz nods slightly and quietly says, "Ok." He pauses before standing, waiting for House.
