First Post: Henry McCoy, the Beast
OOM: Pre-Milliways
Hank bounds into the room feet first with the grace and precision only a nearly 600 lbs. cat-like mutant can manage, landing in a crouch with one claw on the ground. He quickly rises to his feet. His eyes widen in surprise as he watches the room, seemingly trying to see it all, and everyone, at the same time.
With an absentmindedly look, his fingers press over a large device in his hands then places it in a pouch on his belt.
Drawing aside from the door to a nearby table he looks around the room, eagerly taking in everything. His eyes glow in interest as he sees the bar and how people react to it. He then catches sight of the observation window. His eyes widen and a smile comes to his face. It is the smile of a child who has fouind a new toy.
"Oh my stars and garters! Breathtaking!"
He stretches like a cat, an almost seven foot tall, and almost 700 pound blue-cat- the shape of a man,a dn then casts his gaze around, his mind racing in amazement.

Re: Somebody's watching...
Words seem to fail him for a moment. As she speaks again he smiles and then sweeps her a wide bow, his eyes glinting with good humor,. his mouth curved in a clothes-jawed grin, only a few teeth showing.
"My greetings Svava. It is a pleasure to make your aquaintance. Ahh, which End of the Universe, by the way?"
And then he looks around and the back at her...
"And which universe for that matter? I somehow doubt this plane is located in the direction or ambience of my own residence."
Re: Somebody's watching...
"As to which universe, that's quite a good question. In your world and time, do they know of such things as other worlds? Aside from traveling in starships to other ones beyond the sky? This place here, Milliways, touches a great many worlds and times. Some of them are quite similar, just different in a few ways. Other worlds are quite different, but they still touch here. I'm not sure which End of the Universe this is, though given how many places it touches, maybe its all of them?"
She looks over to the Observation Windows herself, biting her lip. "Even when other worlds are gone, this place does still survive."
Re: Somebody's watching...
"Yes we do know of such places. Sounds like Roma's House."
He turns thoughtful as he listens to her.
"A world that touches every molecule fo the universe at once and yet none would require the power to hold a stasis of opportunity and probability and tertiary or even quadrary amounts of energy and replacement ststic folds of space-time in order to..."
He trails off, his eyes flickering at fast speed as he mumbles what sound like equations under his breath.
no subject
"... You should meet Ray. He's done his best to map all the places people are from, that are here at Milliways." When there's a break in the equations, and she chuckles slightly.
"Considering the stars outside the windows explode over and over again, and we're safe, here? There's the power and energy to do that, so there would be to do other things. There's also magic as well- at least that's the reason why we have Scotland out the back door."
no subject
"Magic and science in the same frame. That is...remarkable..."
He starts to glaze over again and then shakes his head,. his eyes lighting with humor.
"I hope you will excuse my behaviour. I normally will not allow such trivialities as cosmic physics to distract me from a lady and, I would hope, a friend. This place, however is... mindboggling. One moment."
He pulls a Rather Odd Looking Laptop off his shoulder and oplaces it on the table in front of her. With a tap he opens the R.O.L.L. and swipes a finger across a spot. The ROLL hums and a voice sounds from it.
"Greetings, Professor McCoy."
"Hello, Rollie. Scan and analyze current surroundings by matrix and material as well as the denizens. Correlate with all known data and alert me when the report is ready."
"As you wish, Professor McCoy"
He closes the R.O.L.L. and turns back to her.
"May I sit?"
no subject
"Oh, of course, yes. Do sit down. And if you'd like, the first drink here is free. May I get you something?" She glances back up to him, with a smile.
"This is a type of computer? Or something of that sort?"
no subject
He settles down across from her and then turns the R.O.L.L. so she can see it.
"Yes it is a computer of my own design with a little Shi'ar, futuretech, demon, Kree, and Inhuman science thrown in. It is fully modular so I can modify it with Other tech at need."
no subject
"Is it an Aye Eye, though? Does it think, like a person?"
no subject
He shakes off the slightly odd mood.
"For now, it is but a very well-organized machine."
no subject
The drinks arrive, Svava picks them up and sets the frosty carbonated sassapharilla down for Hank.
"If your world does have such things, but considering how many constants there are and what you've been talking about already, I'd be willing to guess there are. What world are you from, though?"
no subject
Hank pickes up the ice-cold rootbear and sips it and ahhs slightly.
"I am from Earth. Ahh, and considering this place seems to be between universes, I am from Earth 616, of that means anything. and specifically from a place called Salem Center, Westchester, New York, In the United States, in the year 2005"
no subject
"Though, I do know of it- and of New York. At least the city of it? With the buildings the size of mountains, and the park in the middle of it? I do also think Vegas and Nevada are in the United States- and all the times I've been there have been relatively close to two-thousand, give or take a decade or so."
no subject
Hank nods, holding himself back from launching into a lecture on probability and the worlds therin.
"Ah yes, and Vegas is in the United States as well. Ahh, then you have undoubtedly encountered all kinds of insanity."
no subject
There's a slow nod, listening. "Is there a way you use to define the worlds? Different histories, different degrees of power and energy?"
no subject
"And yes, there are ways to tell the worlds apart. Majorly, it is done through a combination of the digital quantum signature of the molecular structure of the matter both living and unliving of that Earth and universe. All universes occupy the same space and time but do so by vibrating at a different quotient than others. Shifting that quotient can bring you from one universal threshhold to another."
no subject
"The vibrating... is that like... how things aren't really solid, but they're a swarm of... of things all dense together, humming like a swarm of bees? Someone here showed me how to look at things like that, though I'm not sure if I remember how to anymore."
no subject
Hank blushes.
"All worlds have slightly different history and rules. Sometimes you can find entire worlds that seem entirely the same. The diffetrences can bve very small. Also, on some worls, magic works and on others it doesnt. Ot science works on some worlds and not on others. And on still others both work, or neither does... those can be truly dangerous and chaotic worlds."
Hank smiles.
"Yes it is the small things all dense together that humm or vibrate that is a good way to look at it. Just as every swarm of insects is different, so too is the humm of every universe."
no subject
She tilts her head, looking at Hank curiously. "But- how could science work or not work? Granted, that's all something I need to learn, but isn't it just... like math, or crafts? Knowing laws and rules and how things are built? Electricity for computers and programing, that's logic and how things are made."
no subject
Hank ponders for a moment.
"SOme rules work in some worlds... Some worlds are so altered in some way that the same rules dont work there... it can be evry confusing even for me."
He isnt being prideful here, just honest.
