Morgan's crouching on the floor next to her normal table, picking up bits of broken glass.

Picking them up, twisting them in the light so they shine and refract and glitter the way only broken glass does.

Her fingers are slightly cut, but she hasn't noticed.

"Are you doing that for a reason?"

Asks the tall, tall young goddess,

"Or just to bleed?"

"It shattered - I want to see if it can come back together again," answers the merely tall, young princess.

"Not without magic."

She says quietly.

She suddenly turns her hand over - the glass falls, then stops.

Paused, poised, in mid-air.

Softly,

"I was afraid of that."

"I can show you the spell for things like that."

She offers, her voice quiet and tentative.

She knows a spell, but glances up.

And tilts her head slightly.

Hel, however, does not return the look. She simply lifts her right hand and draws several runes in the air. Magic flares (just a bit), and the glass repairs itself.

Her voice curious,

"What did you write?"

"Runes. The Valkyrie has a book of them. I just have them memorized."

She half-shrugs, voice matter of fact.

"Valkyrie...?"

"She looks like me."

The right side of her, anyway,

"Only short and older."

"What is she?"

"Ex-servant of the gods."

*Adam's around. Pacing. He got up early and, trying not to wake Alanna, padded out to the bar for coffee.*

Without looking up,

"I'm not happy with you."

Me?

"Yes. You."

Why's that?

She glances up.

"Barty."

Oh.


Him.

*Adam stops pacing for a moment to look at her, crossing his hands over his chest.*

"Yes. Him. My boyfriend. Whom you did not have to grill about his sex life or his intentions!"

I was just trying to figure out what kind of guy he is.

*Adam's not yelling. He's not.

He's too out of it for yelling.*

It's hard to say how angry Morgan is; her tone is vauge for all the words, and she's still picking up the broken glass with bloody fingers.

"And what was your verdict?"

I think it's better if we just don't talk about it.

"I like him. He's not...he likes me, he's kind to me."
