The sullen look of a teenager who's not in a particularly good mood, layered with River's tendency to be distracted by empty air.

Then she frowns, as she notices River's expression.

"Are you having a bad day?"

Then her face lightens, a little. "Hi."

"Did you win the snowball fight? You throw good!"

"We all did."

There's a small smile, remembering.

"It was very messy."

"And cold, too. Brrr!"

She sits down by River.

"Is there snow in space?"

"There's no atmosphere. It's required for precipitation."

Beat.

"There's planets. Moons. All the worlds in the 'verse. Got climates."

"Moons are all snowy cos they're white and shiny."

She nods. She saw in a book.

"Sometimes," River agrees.

"There's climatic variation. Some are green."

[smallestopener]

"Green? Is the snow green, too?"

Now that sounds like fun!

River smiles -- a real smile, this time.
