River.
Booth. Back against the wall, one leg tucked under her and one knee pulled to her chest. Watching the room. What she sees in it is, as usual, an open question.
The sullen look of a teenager who's not in a particularly good mood, layered with River's tendency to be distracted by empty air.

Hi.
no subject
Yep. Still grumpy. Though not specifically directed at him.
no subject
You okay?
no subject
Grouchy.
no subject
*He says. Or, in other words, bullshit.*

River glances at the glass, and him, and looks a little more interested.
no subject
To be fair, his drink does contain alcohol.
no subject
She has a sip, though, holding the glass with both hands.
no subject
He watches her drink. "Any particular reason for the mood?" Teenagers do just get moody sometimes.

Mal had moved to sit in the seat across from River in the booth.
He figures it wouldn't be a problem, but is amiable enough to be corrected.
no subject
She doesn't look at him, but she doesn't protest his taking a seat, either.
no subject
The levity may or may not be appreciated.
no subject
It's not, especially, though she's not offended either.

:)?
"You want me to leave ya be? I do still got Tequila to look in on if you're lookin' to be you and yourself at the moment."

Well, "flits" may be not quite the right word. "Flies" or "flings itself" might be more fitting. It's closely followed by a man appearing to be approximately thirty-something years old. He catches the errant yo-yo and stops roughly in front of her booth, frowning and trying to untangle the string.

"Excuse me, but you wouldn't happen to know anything about these, would you?" He holds it up: it's kind of a mess.
no subject
River is helpful.

"Hi!"
Then she frowns, as she notices River's expression.
"Are you having a bad day?"
no subject
Yes she is.
Then her face lightens, a little. "Hi."

There's a small smile, remembering.
"It was very messy."
no subject
She sits down by River.
"Is there snow in space?"
