In the outside arena we have one raven-haired ex-Peacekeeper. It looks like she's scratching something into the snow with a stick. Could be she's trying to figure out what you get a not!boyfriend for Christmas.

In the inside arena, at a booth, there's one Miss Thea Harman. She's swirling a glass full of red wine and looking generally malevolent.

A berry lands in her glass of wine.

She plucks it out, wandering in the direction it came from. A smile curved upon her lips.

"I believe this is yours?" It is held out, still dripping wine.

"Could be," he allows, grinning up at her from the couch. He plucks it from her fingers and sucks the wine off, licking a stray drop as it trickles down his thumb.

"You Sir, are a tease." She gave a small curtsy. It was one of her most fun games, putting on airs and graces.

"Am I?" He grins. "How dreadful of me."

"Perfectly dreadful." Thea agreed, draping herself casually over the top of a booth.

"Do you have a name, or should I just call you Ruffian?"

"Most things have names," he points out. "You can call me Ruffian if you like, though, I'm not going to stop you."

"Alright, Ruffian." The corner of her mouth twitched, ever so slightly.

"Then what shall you call me?"

"Belle, I think," he says, looking thoughtful. "A pretty name for a pretty lady."

"And in the story Belle protects the Beast." Her laugh was like broken glass. "It is accurate."

She laughed again. Giving someone completely the wrong impression was fun.

"Or perhaps I'm really the beast in disguise?" Her eyes flashed, wickedly, before sparkling as usual.

Aeryn-Sun

Outsied Amanda is heading for a workout when she spots Aeryn and therfore changes course to visit with the ex-Peacekeeper.

"Hello Aeryn." Amanda vioce cuts through the air.

"How are you?" Amanda sounds calm. The anger from before has been confronted and has passed. "What are you writing?" for a brief moment Amanda is destracted by the thought of learning another new language.

"Acceptable." The scratching became louder. It may have passed for Amanda, but Aeryn could hold a grudge for quite a while.

"Ideas."

She nods. Not letting the cold shoulder deter her. She just reminded herself that this was for Guppy, "Have you seen Guppy recently?"

If it was something that she thought was worthy of it she could hold grudges for centuries but Amanda knows that Aeryn had good intentions.

"I have. I spoke to him yesterday."

The stick was close to breaking point now.

"He keeps blaming himself."

She nods, "I know. He wont listen. He's so stubborn." this thought gives her an odd comfort though. He's stubborn, too stubborn to be suicidal. Maybe it was just wishful thinking.

"I don't understand him." Aeryn said frustratedly.

"If he was a fellow soldier, I'd have slapped him by now." But she would never hurt Guppy, not again.

"He carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. He just has such a big heart." He reminds her of someone else she once knew. Amanda sounds just as frustrated as Aeryn.

"And someday, someone will cut it out, unless he learns to take care of himself!" The twig finally snapped, giving under the pressure of Aeryn's anger.

Aeryn seems just as lost as Amanda when it comes to how to help him and she doesn't seem to know anything more then she does. "You're right."
