Lilly is in the bar with coffee and a sheet of paper, on which she is making semi-frantic notes about what to get everyone for Christmas. There are a lot of people on this list, and not a lot of time. Hence the frantic.
This was easier when she was a ghost. Intangibility is the best 'couldn't go shopping' excuse ever.

Some gunslingers have a good sense of the theatric.
Roland really isn't one of them. He just has a long memory.
no subject
Not. Possible.
But then, this is Milliways.
Without turning around, she raises her voice a little.
"You know, folken have been thrown in the cells for less."
no subject
Pause.
"Say true."
no subject
"Wow. Some of us must have been gone a long time, then. Because that's just not true anymore. Say sorry-"
She turns her head. Smiles.
"Ro."

He's sitting there in his usual chair with a book and a glass of wine.
No gunbelt.
"Long days and pleasant nights."
no subject
She's standing up now, facing him.
"What the fuck are you doing here?"
And then she's not standing up so much as throwing her arms around his neck for a fierce hug.
no subject
And then -- yeah. Lilly's not the only one doing the hugging.
"One last way-station, before the end."
no subject
"S'good to see you-"
She breaks off, going pale as something occurs to her.
"Are you- did you come here by yourself?"
She can't quite keep the hope out of her voice.
no subject
He nods, slowly.
Quietly: "They've moved on already. I'm...on my way."
Pause.
"Say sorry."

But he will come over and talk.
"Long time no see."
no subject
"Hey, Angel. Yeah it has been. How's it going?"

Lilly tilts her head.
"I went back to Indy's world with him and had a crazy week of adventuring and Nazi-thwarting."
no subject
It's hard to tell around here, sometimes.
no subject
Lilly grins.
"Just know that I kicked some serious ass, and we're good."
no subject
Considering this is the story that involves Mark spending a week dead, she may not want to know the whole thing.
no subject
"Well, tis the season?" Lilly offers, laughing. "Or something like that."

But he understands the frantic. Not long ago, he was among their kind, stressed and waily and prone to pacing the decks at three AM. That, and ready to kick the next person who sang 'Jingle Bells' around him.
....Anyway. He spots Lilly and waves; it's friendly, if a bit hesitant.

"Long time no see," he says with a tiny smile. "How're you doing?"
It's more than a casual inquiry.
no subject
"I'm fine, thanks. Although, I thought I was going to have to borrow your crutches a couple days ago."
no subject
He stares.
no subject
She sounds disturbingly cheerful about it.
no subject
"By who? Here? Can I shoot them back? Can I maybe just glare at them?" He's giving her a mildly frantic once-over. "You're okay now though, right, after the being shot....gāoyáng zhōng de gūyáng."
no subject
"I went back to Indy's world with him so we could find this Crystal of Osiris thing before the Nazis got it and used it in the war they're going to start and we had to break into a Nazi dig to get clues and they shot me on the way out. Then we went to this other temple and there were a zillion scorpions and rocks falling and stone jackals that were kinda alive and big blue flames from the underworld that no living person could pass surrounding the crystal."
She takes a much needed breath.
"Only I'm dead, so I could, but it made me all cold and meant Moiraine could only heal the stuff from when the temple fell on me after the flames so I still have the gunshot wound and the bruises but otherwise yeah I'm totally fine."
