There is a dazed, much out-of-it Vala in the bar.
Seated in a booth, nursing a glass of Atlantean, he is staring off into nothing. Not brooding. Not pensive. Just... a bit off.
He would not mind distraction and company, though.

"Are you all right, sir?"
no subject
"I am well, yes," he replies. "Simply distracted."

Well, she can't very well tell him she loved reading The Silmarillion, can she?

"Middle-earth is an interesting land," he muses. "Eä is a vast and beautiful world. Always changing, though I prefer the unchanging lands of Aman."
no subject
"Aman--the Undying Lands, if I remember correctly. I hear they are beautiful."

"What's wrong, cher?" he asks, sliding into the other side of the booth.

Cheerful kiss would have been most welcomed, but since he did not know that had been Lee's original intent, he cannot comment on it.
"I will have a son," he says simply.
no subject
"So it's done?"
no subject
"It is done. She is with Asar-Suti and Gil this evening. I think she is in need of comfort and distraction."
no subject
"You look like you are, too."
no subject
"It is a choice I have made than cannot be undone... that creates another sentient creature. It is frightening," he confesses quietly.

Elrond stands there, his eyes puzzled. He is dressed in contemplation robes today, and his hair flows down his back bound only simply.
"Is all well with thee?"
His voice is quiet, and filled with respect.
no subject
"Well, yes. And you?" he asks distractedly.
no subject
Elrond has changed both in his time on Ea and here in Milliways. His appreciation for change and for the races of Men and Humanity has grown as he has lived tyhrough strange days. Thus it seems strange and yet fitting to offer aid to one he sees almost as what the human would call a God.
no subject
"I appreciate the offer, Elrond. It is most kind of you. I am simply adjusting to how quickly change can occur when one cannot see all of the history that is to come."
Námo misses that Sight of his here.
no subject
Elrond considers this, which almost shocks him.
"Change, now that I can relate to... some. For most of my life, I was taught that the Eldar were grounded in order and solidity and that this lack of change made strength. In the last years on Ea, and now here, I am learning that I was wrong. And it is... disconcerting, even as it is sometimes... wonderful."
That last is spoken very quietly.
no subject
He motions to the seat across from him.
"If you would like to sit, Elrond, you are welcome to." He sips the Atlantean as he thinks about change. "Change is chaotic, by definition. Many among the Vanyar whisper even now that such things were sung into Eä by Melkor to unbalance the purity of the world. Change destroyed the Trees. Change brought forth the Kinslayings. Change and the desire for change, was the fire in which was forged the One Ring. Very little good has befallen those of your race by such changes.
"But there are other, smaller changes that can be positive. Perhaps it is only by being in this place, removed from time, that one such as I could learn such a lesson."

And so he simply turns to stare at the stranger.
no subject
"Am I doing something distasteful?" His voice is oddly monotone.

And for Námo, it is easy for him to not appreciate most forms of music outside of what the Ainur can conjure.
no subject
Non-Therans confuse him.
"Do you not like the X-Files?" he hazards. At least he's trying to understand. Laura, he feels, would be proud of him. "If you don't, I'll be happy to hum something else."
