Happy Hour
Charles has spent the day in the library reading some old friends of books that he doesn't have in Washington DC as well as some new ones.
The time passed faster than he realized and when he orders a drink, he laughs before starting to go through the drink book. Tonight will be inspired by those he loves.
Specials
Sex Magnet
Over the Rainbow
Alternatini
Share a story of someone who has changed your life for the better and your drink is free.
Then he pours himself a Scotch and waits to see who will arrive.
Tiny tag: Daryl Dixon
(OOC: Charles is listening passively to thoughts, please include them in your narration. Threadhop and enjoy, we made it to the weekend. I'm falling asleep. And closed for new tags, tahnk you for a fun happy hour.

"I would like a root beer float. Please."
And hard on the heels of that --
"I am allowed to ask why you want a story?"
no subject
He also just wishes for some pleasant thoughts to occupy his mind. Once he's answered the question, he turns to start preparing the drink.
no subject
X absorbs that, or tries to.
"You do not know? What changes people."
If she sounds a little surprised, maybe it's only because she didn't expect it.
no subject
It's something he could find out, but he would rather hear from them.
no subject
Then --
"You will talk, too?"

Ellen's pretty sure that deserves-
"Could I- can I just have a beer, please?" she says. "Sam Adams, for preference. And a bowl of water for my dog?"
(The dog's thoughts are mostly of the 'something here smells like I should be licking it' variety, for what that's worth.)

Charles grins at Dogmeat's thoughts and leans over to say hello.

She indicates something perhaps five or so inches across, although it seems like a rather odd question to her. Dogmeat will drink or eat out of anything at hand. Even if it gets his muzzle stuck in a tin can, sometimes.
no subject
He finds a good bowl and fills it with water and then pours the beer, "Here you are. How are you doing?"

"Greetings," he says to Charles. "What is an Alternatini?"

Charles sips his drink to see if there will be other questions, his conversations with Teja tend to be odd.

He leans on the bar and thinks who he would speak of; names and faces rise up before his inner eye. Hildebrand perhaps? Witichis? Or perhaps the fox-goddess who gave him her knives to sharpen, starting him out on the way to learning about Japanese smith-work?

That's a combo she'll pass on repeating.
She raises an eyebrow at the specials board. "Okay, I think I can do story time. Once I narrow it down to just one."
After all, how do you put one family member above the rest?
no subject
She looks in need of a drink, he doesn't full understand her thoughts other than her experiences were draining.

Artie was waist-deep in stuff for Pete and Myka's case when the Florida ping came in, so Claudia got to play senior agent to someone a hundred years her senior (give or take a decadeish). At least she's got the Slenderman report out of the way.

There's a rather wide selection but that seems like a brand that would still be known after a zombie apocalypse.
