"Yeah," Parker says. "They force kids in school to read his plays. It's probably the only reason I know anything about them."

They go to the convent and then the monastery. And yes, I did.

Parker waves his eyebrows. "And what did they teach you at the monastery?" he asks, deeply amused.

Convent. A convent is for girls, a monastery is for boys and priests.

And how to be a lady. How to flirt and dance and send invitations. Host parties, do the accounts, basic history, etcetera.

Yes. But, they weren't always priestesses, many of them. And some weren't at all. Just women living there, for whatever reason.
