[OOM: Upstairs in Zekk's room, Jaina goes to tell him she's leaving Milliways and the two realize that even with the mindmeld gone, they're still connected.]
There was a door there on the wall some minutes earlier and now, when Jaina rushes back downstairs after talking to Zekk, it's still there. It's there and this means she and Jag can leave and finally go home.
Which explains the big smile on her face and the impatient foot tapping as she waits by the bar for her husband to come downstairs with their belongings.

YES. IT IS. Jag! Carrying two hastily packed bags and grinning like a fool because they are going home.
"Ready?"
no subject
Jaina grabs one of the bags, slinging it around her shoulder and nods. "What are we waiting for?"
no subject
The door is still there. They're going to make it out!

Jaina opens it a crack, just to make sure it works, and - when satisfied by the light peering through from the other side - she drops her bag to wrap an arm around Jag and give him a kiss. "I love you, Jagged Fel. No matter what happens next."
no subject
Jag smiles and picks up her bag. "Now let's go and see how much of the galaxy we've missed."
With that the two pilots cross over the threshold, back into their world. The door gives a satisfying click as it closes behind them.

"You look happy."
It was still vaguely creepy how her voice drifted from whatever corner/booth/chair she was lurking in at the time. Aeryn craned her neck to get a better glimpse of Jaina. Yes, still beaming.

"Tell me that look means you're much too pleased with the new wallpaper."

"Forever?" Well Sawyer and Claire had never come back (that she saw) so...don't blame her for being paranoid.

She still hopes Ossus, even if it means Jag will have to sacrifice his job. Whatever the decision, it won't be an easy one to make.
And then Jaina shakes her head quickly, realizing the second part to the question. "No, not forever. At least I hope not."

Thankfully the Jedi continued.
"Good. Some people here would miss you, as irritating as you are."

Beat.
"Except I was referring to Zekk. You know how he mopes when you are away."

"It's impossible to get him to admit it, but I can tell."
Dammit Aeryn, say something nice.
"I...have a safe journey..."
no subject
She pauses, moving awkwardly away from her leaning position against the bar and shoving her hands into her pockets. "Thanks. You'll be okay without me here, eh?"
no subject
Aeryns face became serious, not unhappy, just thoughtful.
"I might go back myself. But likely you'll be back by then."
no subject
"I hope so. As sick as I am of this place, I don't think I'd want to stay away too long."
no subject
It's supposed to be reassuring.
no subject
She's joking. Mostly.
no subject
And a couple of high-grade explosives.

Jaina grins and at the mention of her husband's name, automatically looks towards the stairs to see if he's down yet.
"Remind me to take you there sometime after Jag and I figure things out."
Like, where to live.
no subject
The thought of utter boredom while tiny Fels ran about underfoot. Yuck.
no subject
"What? The idea of a domestic life not exactly appeal to you?"
