"Really?" Sam squinted at the Bar, and put her hands nervously over the surface. "Do -- do you think they -- It, I guess -- would have any ultra-recyclo-vegetarian--"

No more had the words exited her mouth than a plate of ultra-recyclo-vegetarian soy pancakes had appeared in front of her.

"Oh my." Sam's mouth was hanging open, just a bit.

"Huh? Huh?" Danny said, grinning. "Cool, isn't it? You can even get some things that aren't food."

"That. Is. So. Cool." Sam's grin matched Danny's. "There are no words for how cool that is!"

She paused. "Um... could I get some... lemonade?"

Lemonade appeared, complete with ice. "Awesome."

Danny ordered a burger and fries.

"It's like, magic or something. Which...is really not all that surprising. You know, magic doors, leading to magic bars--you'd figure there'd be magical service."

"Wow," Sam said. Her eyes were feasibly big. "This place is like... like all the sci-fi movies we've ever watched, mashed together with ... all the fantasy movies we've ever watched."

With a chuckle, Danny said, "Pretty much. And I think there's some animes crammed in here too."

Sam's eyes, if possible, went bigger.

"...No. Way. You're -- no. You've gotta be kidding. No way."

"Well, come on! You saw Ichigo, right? Big giant sword--and when he fights these samurai robes appear. And I think I saw a girl in a sailor outfit last week."

She was hott.

Not that he'd tell Sam that.

Ichigo had had... orange hair. And a sword.

Oh man.

"We're coming here a lot more," she told him, dazed smile covering her features, determination in her eyes. It was not a question.

Danny snorted.

"With Tucker, next time, or he'll hack into our computers and hold them hostage."

"Of course," Sam said. "He'll want to see all the girls in here."

She cast a furitive look around. Because there were a lot of girls.

Lots and lots of girls. And they were all really good-looking.

Another thing Danny liked about the place.

"Definitely."

There were a lot of... good-looking guys, too.

Sam really really liked it here.

"Where do we sit?"

"Anywhere." They found a booth, one comfortable just like their usual one at the Nasty Burger, and Danny plopped down in it on one side.

Sam tried a bite of her pancakes and closed her eyes in ecstasy. "Oh. We are so definitely coming back."

Danny grinned and felt a little better about bringing her there.

No damage done so far, right?

Meanwhile, Sam had noticed a tall boy in all black, including sunglasses, and was gazing, very appreciative, sipping her lemonade dreamily once in a while.

Oh, yes. They were coming back.

Danny noticed her noticing and frowned, then desperately cast about for a way to get her attention all on him.

"Aah, when we're done, we ought to go outside. It's amazing out there."

Sam was busy staring, thx. "Mmmhmm. Sure."

There was more frowning.

"Then I'm going to dance around the bar with my underwear on my head and doing the macarena," he said in the same conversational tone, to see if she'd notice.

"That's nice."

Danny looked annoyed now, then poked her arm.

"Look, if he's wearing black, he's probably evil."

Sam looked mildly offended at him for a moment. "I wear black."

Back to the staring.

"Yeah, but here, usually wearing black, and sunglasses--especially sunglasses--means you're evil. That's just, uh, how this place works," he said. "Plus, you have some purple in there."

"Glad to see you've noticed what I wear, she said, dryly.

"Oh, well. So maybe he's evil. That adds mystique. Nothing wrong with looking."

Back to the happy oblivious gaze.
