Shufti and CJ's wedding

Chairs set out, a gazebo at one side of the garden. Little bunches of flowers decorate the makeshift aisle.

It's a warm sunny afternoon, with no sign of rain, perfect for a wedding.

Arrival

Both bride and groom are around to greet guests, though not together until the ceremony. Tradition and all that.

Shufti is under a large tree, putting a bow-tie on Jack, with some difficulty.

Cj is greeting guests, and there is wandering and mingling.

There is a tall, very square present with an odd lump in it.

The lump appears to be moving and making muffled sounds.

Maybe this present should be opened now?

Shufti notices, staring at it wide-eyed.

Molly had gotten the invitation to the wedding just last night when she had come into the bar in search of a snack. She had immediately been riddled with guilt over not being around lately to help Betty as she had wanted to.

She was here now, dressed in a pretty lavender shift with enough room for her bulging belly.

She looked around for signs of the bride, and also for any sign of the Betty's ex, whom she had been afraid would try to ruin the day. She had her wand ready, in case he needed to be dealt with.

Cain was there, smiling as he strode in, garbed in a tailor made tuxedo and looking around as well.

He shook his head in wonder again as he smiled at Molly, circled her with an arm and kissed her.

The bride approaches, giving her a big hug. Jack follows on behind at his own pace.

"Did you get my note? Are you okay being a bridesmaid?"

She's nervous and excited all in one. But the dress is standing up to it well. Simple but pretty, in white, with ribbons.

Even if betty is not around, there is the groom, ready to greet guests as well. CJ looks nice in a suit, a tall strong young man.

Molly greets him with a bright smile. They've only met a couple of times, but she seems very nice, and obviously loves both Betty and Jack very much.

"Are you ready for your big day?"

"CJ, right? I'm Alex Knox." He extends his hand, ready to finally meet the groom.

He'd dressed up for the occasion. Or, rather, down, given as how he was actually wearing something besides the black and the mask, "Afternoon. I hear there's going to be a wedding here today, not late am I?"

Rapunzel can guess who the bride is by the pretty white dress, and smiles as she carries her wrapped gift for the couple. It's kind of large, but she isn't sure just where to set it down. Thank heaven she cut her hair off last night. Today it is somewhat long, and hangs in waves past her shoulders.

She looks around for Alex, indecisively.

It's strange being at a wedding, when you don't know either the bride or the groom.

Alex enters, in a tux that is actually well-tailored and that suits him to a tee. He finds Rapunzel before even finding the bride and groom. And he is quite in a great mood.

"Well, hello. You must be the second prettiest woman here today."

Makita's not nervous, really. It's just that she's not really used to weddings. At all.

She's standing out of the way, trying not to be underfoot for anyone, just watching. And smiling ever so slightly. Shufti looks happy, after all.

Ceremony

With everyone seated and settled, the big moment has arrived.

Here comes the bride!

Shufti, in a pretty white dress with ribbons (that she made herself) turns and grins nervously at Molly, then takes Jack's hand and walks down the aisle towards the others.

Food from both Earth and Disc is on the tables in the gazebo.

And drinks all around, of course.

Just after the wedding ceremony is over, Johnny, having been distracted for the day, walks out of the bar and stops.

His expression is somewhere between wanting to burst into tears or kill someone.

Molly is beaming happily at everyone gathered, enjoying herself, and keeping a handkerchief close at hand in case she begins getting teary eyed (again).

She has a glass of sparkling juice in her hand, and is humming quietly with a tune coming from the dancing area.

She wasn't late, not really, because, well, she was the very spirit of joy and that sort of thing. She'd probably been around the whole time, because she was like that.

Being around and being visible were two different things however, and at the moment she was visible once more, smiling and sipping at something with bubbles in.

Rapunzel surveys the food, and wonders about a few of them. She understands that Betty Shufti isn't from Earth, so many of these food must be from her homeland.

She fills a small plate with a small taste of a few different things, and takes a glass of wine, as well, as she surveys the small, happy group.

Still a bit awkward, Makita waits for a quiet moment before approaching the couple. Her voice and smile are soft as she looks at Shufti, "Congratulations."

Entertainment

For any that wish to dance, there is a mix of traditional and modern Earth and Disc songs playing under a tree with fluffy white spring blossom on.

Bar provided Makita a perfectly nice dress. Something simple enough that she's not really having much trouble with it despite her unfamiliarity. But she's not much of a dancer, really (at all). She stands off to the side watching those who are with interest.
