Tom sits at a table slightly out of the way this evening. He's looking, well, a little pensive.

It's been a long, strange week, what with the Legilimency incident with Deitmar and the duel out back with Sylar.

"I am as well as can be expected," he says, borrowing a line from Moiraine. It works rather well.

Her head leans to the side

"As can be expected? Every thing ok with your family?"

He smiles at the mention. "Oh yes. Door and the children are very well. We've been having a festival the last couple of weeks in the Underside - the May Fair. It's quite a time."

She smiles at him then

"That's good Then. festivals are fun. We've not got to many right now. I'm Glad your having a time of it"

"Yes, well, I'm sorry about your lack of festivals. You'll have them again soon, I'm sure."

"I know he will with out a doubt.."

she smiles at him.. To see if she could get a smile back

Tom can manage smiles even if he's not quite feeling them. He gives her one.

"There you are. How is your family? Well enough, I hope?"

she leans her head to the side then shrugs

"yeah Mostly they are.. I've not seen some of them in a while"

"That must be hard for you."

"It is in that seeing them so much I used to think I wouldn't miss them But I do"

"Are you at least enjoying yourself here at Milliways?"

She nods then sighs as

"Yes mostly I am.. I've met new people"

"As have I. I hope the ones you've met have been a great deal more pleasant."

"You've met bad ones?"

[young_tmriddle]

He nods. "There's always a bad element that turns up here."

She leans over probably surprising them both by hugging him

"It will be ok"

He is taken by surprise, but manages to give her a pat on the back.

"I'm certain it shall."

He's never quite understood Ginny Weasley's forgiving nature, but she's a sweet girl.

"I regret I can't stay longer, but my wife's expecting me home. We've an appointment to attend this evening to settle an inheritance claim threatening to cause a feud. I hope you stay well and happy, Ginny."
