Tom sits at a table slightly out of the way this evening. He's looking, well, a little pensive.

It's been a long, strange week, what with the Legilimency incident with Deitmar and the duel out back with Sylar.

"I have been taught with them in mind, yes. It led to me being very afraid of my future responsibilities for a long time, as no one lets you forget that you're the Guildmaster's daughter. And Mother was praised as a war hero herself, so I had a lot to live up to. But some time ago, probably shortly before the war, I started to learn that I don't have to be exactly as Mother, though she was a good example. That probably has something to do with the fact that I was making more friends at the time."

"Friends help one find one's true path, I've discovered. Door has been my closest friend, as well as my beloved. She keeps my feet on the path I need to tread."

He stands and bows to her.

"Speaking of which, I need to return to her. It was my pleasure to meet you, Mia. I hope we might speak again soon."

She meets his bow with one of her own.

"The pleasure was mine, Tom, and I would be very happy to speak to you again soon. You and yours take care in the meantime."
