Draco had spoken to Potter a while back, and Harry mentioned a secret. Something horrible and evil. One that's unspeakable and unforgiveable. Worse than Voldemort himself.
He steeled himself, and asked the Bar for some.
There was a note on a napkin, "Are you sure about this?"
"Yes, just give them already." He scooped up the materials. If you listened closely, you could almost hear the distant voices of cackling evil laughter, and piercingly shrill squees of delight.
He carefully placed them on a table, and ordered a drink. Just from what Harry had said before, he knew he would need it.
Mr. Malfoy was learning about the evil that is HP fandom. (Though luckily, he's being spared the truly mind numbingly worse of the lot, because that's too much for most muns, much less the pup.)
Shortly into reading, there's a loud cry, "URRRGHHHH! I don't even LIKE HIM! And WHY AM I PREGNANT??"

Some bitter anger at that memory.

She keeps rubbing her thumb against his hand.
"Hopefully, it won't take much work before I'm ready. I do have the experience of a war, after all."

"Of course, it's just I thought it might be best to be prepared. Before we get surprised by someone. If they know it's me, well, at this point, I'm not sure who would be worse. Though the Ministry doesn't have control of the dementors anymore."

"They're the ones that are like that cursed song I suffered from, correct? I should find a way to defend myself from them."
She didn't really have anything for the last time.

"All I can think of is the way Luna can do such things with her songs. I can't do anything like that. It looks like I will have to learn how to use the Patronus charm."

But she can remember truly good things.
"And since I've never cast one before, we can't even say how good mine would be. That would probably be the best thing for me to practice."

A small, rueful smile.
"I certainly could have used it when I went to Halloweentown. I'm sorry, but if Halloween is much like my time there, then I'm afraid I don't care too much for the holiday."

He then brightened, "You'll have to see my world around Halloween sometime. You might like the holiday then."

The rueful smile is still on her face.
"Some help I was clearing them out. The last thing I remember clearly after the nightmares got to me was reaching out for someone's hand, not even sure who's."
It's probably a good thing that she doesn't know it was a living skeleton.
"After that, I vaguely remember being carried back to Milliways, where I suppose I was on that sofa until Will found me."

"I suppose you're right, though I had some idea what I was getting into. I just wanted to help them."

Right, like you onetime did, Malfoy?

He then studied her, and nuzzled her again.
"The people we love of course."

"Some don't have the strength to defend the people they love by themselves, so they ask for help."
There's a touch of sadness in her eyes, though she is still smiling.
"Do you know who asked for help to save Halloweentown from the nightmares? Three children. They didn't look like they should be old enough to defend themselves, much less their home. It would not have rested well on my conscience if I didn't try to help them, poor as my attempt turned out to be."
