[OOM: Enzo's first Game as a Guardian is more than meets the eye. Rated N for Non-explicit Naughtiness in the prologue and R for ROBOTS!]

One thing no one likes about Games - even those who generally enjoy them, like Enzo - is when they come down in the middle of the night. It may not be bad at the time, but you always pay for it later. On the other hand, no one expects you to be fully functional the day after.

Enzo wants to be, though. He's his system's newest Guardian, for as long as he's still at home, and he owes it to the system to be fully alert and on the ball when he's on duty. And a Guardian is always on duty.

So he's cheating. Hooray for Milliways time-freeze!

In other words: green boy napping onna couch. With a teddy bear. Frisket's curled up on the couch, too, and kind of crowding Enzo's feet.

"Thanks!" Dani's cheeks flush pink at the compliment, and she smiles at Enzo.

It is, at that. She leans out far enough to grab the zipboard and pull it closer before minimizing it and putting it back in her pocket.

Enzo blushes and smiles back; then the smile widens into a grin as he takes off.

Somebody put on some Beach Boys music, the kids are going cruisin'.

As long as its not the one about the girl who gets the keys to her car taken away.

Dani hangs on lightly to the edges of the baud as they zoom along, occasionally looking over the sides to see the scenery pass by below.

Nah, gotta be one of the surfing songs. (And that girl was a totally irresponsible driver and she's just lucky her dad caught her before the police did.)

She may desire to hang on tighter; Enzo's in quite the show-offy mood right now, as though you couldn't tell, and they're flying awfully high and banking quite sharply at times. No stunts, though... yet.

Dani does tighten her grip a bit, shrieking and giggling when appropriate.

And here's a tight spiral up-up-up and SWOOP down! The data slide's got nothin' on this!

Dani can't help but shriek a little on the drop. Poor thing, she's never been on a single carnival ride ~~until now~~.

The poor, deprived child. Never even been on the Vomit Vortex. Better make up for lost time! And now Enzo executes a great big loop-de-loop.

Even though he has a passenger for this one, Enzo isn't worried about either of them falling off - trusting not in the boogie baud's inherent properties, nor in Dani's clinging, nor even in centrifugal force, but in the plain and simple fact that at a moment this wonderful, nothing bad can happen. The multiverse won't allow it.

When Enzo goes into the loop-de-loop, Dani almost gives in to the instinctual urge to go ghost and phase through the thing so she doesn't fall off. So instead she does what any other person on a roller coaster would do - she screams.

"Are you crazy?" Dani asks once everything's rightside-up again.

~~Crazy for you! Awwwwwww.~~

Uh-oh. "Didn't you like it?" he asks, pulling up.

"It was..." kinda cool, actually "okay. Just, could you warn me next time you're going to do that?"

"Sure. Sorry."

He's glad she's not upset with him. But that did rather bring him down off his cloud.

Well, she didn't mean to do that.

"So...are we going to keep going, or are we just gonna hover here?"

"Oh! Sure."

No more stunts for now. Let's go for altitude instead.

Altitude is just fine with Dani. She's not afraid of flying.

Well, no, she wouldn't be.

Enzo takes them up in a wide spiral, higher than the distant treetops.

Wow. Nice view.

Definitely a nice view.

"Wow," Dani breathes.

Enzo nods. "Wow," he agrees.

Actually, they're high enough to see right over the top of the Bar. Enzo takes a look and... "Hey, that's weird!"

"What?" Dani peers over both edges of the baud curiously, trying to see what Enzo's seeing.

Enzo points. "Over there, in front of the bar! It looks like the same lake that's back here..."

Dani blinks, then looks at the front of the bar. Then she looks over her shoulder where the lake in back is in the distance. Then she looks to the front of the bar again.

"That is weird."

"And look! Those woods way off there... the edge is shaped just like the ones way back there, but from the other side!"

"Wait!" Thinking quickly Dani pulls out the camera, which she had never gotten rid of before heading out of the Bar. Carefully she stands up (hope you don't mind that she grabs your arm to steady herself, Enzo) and snaps a couple pictures.

"I wonder how many other people know about this, or if we're the first ones to find out?"

On the contrary, he takes hold of her shoulder to steady her further; fortunately, she grabbed the arm still holding the teddy bear (yes, he's still got that too, and Frisket's probably running around somewhere below them - see, we didn't forget anything, honest).

"I dunno. It seems kind of familiar, though... oh, of course! It's like a Game world map!"

Poor Frisket. He's probably having a conniption right about now.

"Really?" She smiles at Enzo as thanks for helping her keep her balance.
