[OOM: And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when some of Milliway's mightiest heroes and heroines found themselves united to help save a hero of another world and to bring him to Milliways...]

Outside it is a quiet snowy day; the air is crisp and sounds are muffled. Then there is a tiny pinprick of light that quickly expands to a glowing doorway. Figures step through; a cowboy and an outlaw, a multi-dimensional explorer and the survivor of a post-nuclear world, a diminutive heroine and a vampire slayer from the future, a humanized data guardian and an emerald giantess who carries a fallen hero, and an ex-super hero who still fights the good fight. The doorway blinks out of existence and the silence is shattered by Val's panicked voice, "He's okay right? Everyone's here?"

[[OOC-And the party returns from the battle to save Johnny Storm. The above thread is still in the final stages but I wanted to get this posted. MANY thanks to everyone, this turned out some much more awesome and epic than I had even foreseen.]]

Oh hey, so it turns out that guy was right! If you have a Milliways napkin in your hand, you can find the door to the tavern pretty much anywhere you want it!

This, Mac reckons, could be interesting!

Milliways, you may have a young man in yellow, entering through the front door in a manner that started hesitant, and is now a confident stroll, somewhat as if he owns the place.

One day, Milliways. One day.

If you're surprised to see a pretty blonde girl in white and silver armor and with a giant broadsword appear suddenly in the bar - you've probably not been coming to Milliways for long.

But if you are surprised by this occurrence, take a moment to think of how Teresa might feel. See, five seconds ago she was about to perform the nearest thing her people have to a mercy killing.

Four seconds ago she heard the clunk clunk clunk of her sword bouncing along the stony ground. With her hands still holding it.
Three seconds ago she had seen her approaching death, with no way of preventing it without sword or hands.
Two seconds ago she was watching the sky as her head tumbled backwards through the air.
One second ago she was wondering what would happen to...

And now, she's suddenly here, fully intact, silver eyes staring at the aforementioned giant broadsword in her still-attached hands.

Then she smiles, and slides that sword into place behind her cape. If she's dead, she may as well get on with being dead

The napkin that appears to Sunshine as she brings out a tray of the day's baking is quite welcome, really. Maybe the Bar knows that she's been trying to save up money for gifts. It's a cold night, so she figures people could probably use something hot to eat and drink.

This year, William's enjoying the holidays. Thanks to Mrs. Reynolds, he's got his mother's present all sorted out and got to help with making the Bar looks pretty.

Also the time he spent with Tamara warmed him up in a different way though he's going to try and not do it again.

At the moment, he's sitting by the fire with a hot chocolate and a plate of decorated holiday cookies and a book.

Urquhart is by the fireplace, with the dog, drinking hot spiced cider from a large mug.

He's got a fat blue book to read, and occasionally snorts at it, in surprise or derision.

Franz the dog is asleep at his feet.

Claudia's almost done with the car now, but she was reaching a point where she couldn't focus on it anymore, so she's in the bar proper.
She's at a table, back pointedly to where the door should be (and still isn't), with her laptop. The fact that she hasn't been able to check her email in two days is starting to rub her the wrong way, but she can work on another project without needing Internet access - the MP3 player she's got hooked up to it will disappear quickly if a certain resident of post-apocalyptic times comes by, but she can still pull the playlist for it together, if it comes to that.
She's also on T-Minus for the first time since she walked in the other day. repositoryBadger may not be happy about being in the house at the moment, but she is nonetheless.
