Serenity's got about another 32 hours before they hit Ezra.
The waiting before a job is usually the worst part, and today Mal is feeling it more so than others. He's checking in with the bar when he receives an eyepatch and a watergun the likes of which he hasn't seen since that ridiculous Assassin game in April.
There's a smirk when he shoves the eyepatch into his pocket, hopping behind the bar and scrawling out a sign before asking Bar for a 3' by 5' cloth.

Mal walks out the door to the lake, damn near whistling.
[ooc: I'm on gchat for any coordinating that might want to happen. Uh. It's not a huge boat, but it'll do. I'll put up an organizing post somewhere if this gets people involved.
ETA: This thread is for any arrivals if you are participating in shenanigans.
ETA AGAIN: OOC COMMUNICATIONS.
And it continues: The Battle Thread. Onlookers welcome.
And food for the spectators. And the winner, obviously.]

The Battle oshitz.
Mal calls out as loudly and clearly as possible to the Captain(s) on the Dutchman.
"We would like to bring the Hope to you for inspection and boarding, as any good pirate should do!"
As for the rest of Mal's crew, they are sitting on the boat, as placid as possible.
Waiting for the opportune moment.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
A glance at Will reminds her that she's likely the more suspicious captain on deck, though it's Will's ship and his prize to claim.
Even so: King.
"We need buckets," is whispered to her husband, while she flashes a fake smile at the others and laughs. "You make a pretty request, but why should we believe you?"
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Well it's true.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Elizabeth is enjoying herself.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
...isn't it his ship, shouldn't he be giving orders?
He fetches a good few buckets and sets them by Elizabeth.
After all: King.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
The only continued commentary Mal offers is to Gibbs, who helps him unfurl the main sail just enough to keep them from drifting leeward.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
It's an insurance policy, savvy?
Returning, she watches their progress with a properly piratical expression.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
He aims a few squirts in the direction of the other ship, feeling that this is probably in the general spirit of things.
(What? He didn't hear about the surrender!)
Re: The Battle oshitz.
"Any chance of a rope for the defeated?"
Very solemn.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Laughing, "Hold on, lad, I'll pull you up."
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Meaning water pistols.
To Mal: "Will you relinquish your weapons?"
She looks to Will, who doesn't seem to mind her interference. He's probably used to it.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
He turns to his crew, pulling out the gun from his holster with his back to Elizabeth and Will, placing it on the bench next to him.
He even digs out the knife from his boot. See? Helpful.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Elizabeth doesn't believe for a second that he's surrendered everything. And now it's oh so tempting to say 'Remove' and gesture to his clothing, but she manages to refrain.
"Very well. We'll throw you a rope."
She'll even make sure it's attached to something.
Re: The Battle oshitz.
"This is the only one I've got," he says to the girl - and she certainly doesn't look look like any of the Dutchmen on the ship he knew - "but don't worry, I've got him covered."
Re: The Battle oshitz.
"Oh." Dry. "You have. Defeated us. Woe."
Re: The Battle oshitz.
She's just defending his
prowesshonor.Elizabeth picks up a bucket. Equally dry (for the moment): "So we have. It is a victory we will speak of for years to come."
Re: The Battle oshitz.
Mal quickdraws his watergun out of his waistband, firing at Elizabeth's shoulders.
"Crew - attack!"
