Ianto was on his way home when the door opened to Milliways.

(It was meant to be an Indian place. He wanted a kebab.)

He sighs, not really in the mood for socializing, but he has never refused an entry to Milliways when it's come and isn't going to start now.

He gets supper from the bar and sits in a booth near the back of the enormous room where he can eat and spread out his work.

He is not hiding. Perish the thought. He'd just rather not be noticed.

"Wales is lovely for a vacation. Just bring your umbrella and galoshes."

"And beware the negative inhabitants."

"Oh, we are dour," Ianto says, shaking his head. "It's a Celtic thing. It's in the bones."

"In your bones, huh?" Lorne asks, smirking.

Mun pleads end-of-the-day loopiness.

"Yes, in the bones. Bones last longer than blood."

Perfectly understandable.

"In your bones like a deep chill?"

"Yes! I am never warm and I hate it!"

"You need to get yourself out to Hawaii," Lorne says, smiling. "Or the Caribbean. Or the Mojave Desert in August. You'll never be cold again."

"Sounds brilliant," Ianto says with a sigh. "Someday." Frowning again, as he remembers Plans.

Damn Plans.

"Hawaii's always good after a break up," Lorne says. "Sun and sand and half-dressed people of whatever gender you prefer."

"Yeah, if I can get the days off, which is nearly impossible. I swear, if I left for a day I'd come back to find my team buried in takeout boxes and alien corpses."

"Yeah, I know how that goes," Lorne says smiling. "That's what Milliways is for. Not as many half-dressed people though."

"I'm sure that could be remedied with the proper incentive."

[ooc: Hometime.]

Lorne nods. "I'm sure it could. You know, there's an inlet of the lake that's like a Caribbean bay. It'd make a great location for a beach party."

[ooc: Kay.]

"Oh my," Ianto says softly. "That sounds lovely."

"Doesn't it though?" Lorne says, smiling. "I bet it wouldn't be too hard to plan something. Like an end of summer bash or something."

"And just get food from the bar..."

"Food and music and anything else we'd need." And if that far-off look in his eyes indicates he may be thinking of Jack in swim trunks and sunglasses...well...yeah.

"It sounds like so much fun."

He sighs, wishing he could bring his Jack.

"We should do it," Lorne says. "I mean, it couldn't be that hard, right?"

And it might cheer Ianto up a bit to have something to plan. Maybe.

"Can we even do that? Just throw a party?"

"Why not?" Lorne says, shrugging. "It's not against the rules. It's not like we're...changing anything. Just hanging out and having food."

"Yeah, true. Just never thought about throwing a party here. I mean, it's a bar."

"Yeah, but I mean, people live here. It's not just a bar. And bars have parties too sometimes."

"Generally on match nights," Ianto says with a little smile.
