Buffy is consuming delicious pineapple smoothie by the fireplace, and people-watching. And ... other species-watching. She's inclusive. (Is that a balloon?)

Seras sat down next to Buffy with blood that smelled a lot like V8 juice and blood.

"Hi," she said, "How are you doing?"

Does she look a little freaked out? Probably.

"Hi," says Buffy, except she kind of says it more to the drink. Blood has a distinctive smell. "I'm...good."

Memory clicks into place: it's vegan vampire girl. "That's donated, right?"

"Bar made it for me," she said, "I can't just have regular blood at the moment... long story. What are you up to?"

She sipped the gross blood and nearly threw up.

Blood has a distinctive smell...and so does V8. Buffy's nose twitches.

"...What is that?" For now, this question is more pressing than Seras's.

[flail_victoria]

"It's got more vitamins and stuff in it, you know better for me," she said, "I don't know how i am going to down this stuff. I would prefer the morning sickness to this."

[stillbecoming]

This is in all ways horrifying.




"Morning sickness?" says Buffy.

[flail_victoria]

"What?" asked Seras trying to sip at the stuff again and managing to down it this time.

[stillbecoming]

"Like...pregnancy morning sickness, morning sickness?" Buffy is very notably not sipping her smoothie.

[flail_victoria]

Seras nodded, "It shouldn't even happen."

[3nanashi]

Trowa's nearby. Without a pineapple smoothie. :(

He's probably people-watching too. Though he's not very obvious about it.

Huma, human, probably human, alien, human, something furry, the balloon again, mobile mop of hair...

Buffy blinks, and refocuses. There's somebody under the enormous bang.

Trowa sips his drink.

And doesn't look Buffy's way. (But he probably notices her.)

[stillbecoming]

She wonders if he can breathe, or if the hair has suffocated him. Or if it is a him at all. Maybe what looks like an innocent human being is actually a plastic decoy set up to lure in unsuspecting passers-by, like those glowy fish in the deep sea.

Should she try to rescue the hair's helpless victim? Or --

"Hi."

Trowa glances at her. The hair moves slightly, proving that it's attached to his head.

"Hi."

[stillbecoming]

It's fascinating. Like those ocean animals with the spikes that move. Sea urchins.

"Nice weather, huh?" says Buffy, intelligently.

[3nanashi]

Trowa is kind of like a sea urchin. Spiky, disinclined to facial expressions... Not so much with the living on the seafloor, though.

Trowa nods.

Well, it is.

"...Yep," says Buffy. She is not spiky. "It's great. All weathery and stuff."

[walksthebounds]

Jamie is also by the fireplace - or rather, kneeling in front of it, as he toasts marshmallows.

They drip a little. Hopefully not on anyone's shoes.

Buffy watches curiously in between sips of frosty pineapple goodness.

"-- Look out --" she starts to say, pointing toward a particularly wobbly marshmallows.

[walksthebounds]

Jamie hastily sticks his hand underneath to catch the marshmallow, and then says a few extremely unprintable things as it lands in his hand and he remembers that it is, in fact, burning.

[stillbecoming]

"-- for --"

She's off the couch, and hovering next to him. "Are you okay?"

[walksthebounds]

"Mostly," Jamie says, making a face.

He scrapes his hot-goo-covered hand off on the mantelpiece. "This is more dangerous than I remembered. Thanks for the warning, anyways."

[stillbecoming]

"Cold water?" she says, looking dubiously from his hand to the fireplace. "Burn ointment?" Verbs? No.

[walksthebounds]

Jamie is now flapping his hand back and forth in the air, in the undignified way you do when you slam a finger.

"I'm all right. I'm lucky really, it hadn't got to the bit where it caught fire yet."

[stillbecoming]

"Well, that's good, but there's still the bit where it's painfully hot." She makes a face at the goo. "Can I at least get you a wet paper towel or something? It looks sticky."
