Some time late Thursday night or very early Friday morning, an odd thing happens.

There's a flash of light somewhere in the mountains and - for those who are sensitive to such things - a great flare of magic. The flare rolls out across the mountainsides and foothills of Milliways, then takes root and settles there.

When the sun comes up, the landscape is different. The mountains and foothills are carpeted with new trees. These trees are between twenty and thirty feet in height, with gray-brown bark and twigs covered in reddish-pink buds. A few hiking paths wend their way up the hills and mountainsides to some clear spots that look perfect for, say, picnicking. Or getting a lovely view of the new trees. Or both.

Sherlock enters the bar wearing nothing but a sheet. It is rather artfully wrapped around him, but is still only a sheet.

He appears to be unconcerned about this state of affairs as he collects a cup of tea ("Thank you, John") and ambles to the sofa by the fire, yawning.

It may take him a moment or two to realize he's not longer in the Baker Street flat. It may take a moment or two longer to realize he's not wearing trousers.

There's a rush of clattering from inside of the kitchen doors as a certain someone hurriedly gets everything set in order to DO THE THING. It has been way too long since Beauford had a Dual Tending, and being several minutes late isn't helping him any tonight.

The smells coming from inside of the kitchen might be...because there's the tang of good barbeque sauce drifting out from those double doors. All smoke and sweet and a faint hint of spice...

Anyone who is hiking in the mountains among the new trees will find Seimei in one of the clearings having a bit of a picnic. He's sitting on a cushion on a tatami mat with a basket. There are a couple of other cushions on the mat as well.

He has origami paper in various shades of pink and white. And some glue. He is using these things to make paper cherry blossoms.
