Happy Hour!

Lorne is humming to himself as he steps up to the bar this evening, a pleased smile on his face. He orders a beer, and grins when a note appears with it.

"Sure thing, sweetheart," he says and hops over the bar.

After a few moments of rustling through the book, he posts the specials.

That pleased smile is still on his face. They have a fireplace and plumbing and stairs and a floor! Once they finish the furniture, it'll be all set to move into.

He starts humming again as he waits for customers.

"You do," Lorne says softly, looking seriously at Jack. "You do make me happy."

"I know," Jack says, smiling. "And I want to keep you that way."

"I have every confidence in you," Lorne whispers.

Jack smiles deeper and kisses him again. "I think we'll do pretty well with that."

"Makin' me pretty happy just now," he murmurs, kissing Jack.

"Kinda figured." He kisses Lorne slowly.

Lorne holds Jack's face as they kiss. "Yeah, kissing tends to do that for me. I'm easy that way."

"And promises of sex later," Jack whispers.

"Mmm...yeah. That makes me very happy."

Jack chuckles and sits back, and leans his chin on his hand. "How about a drink--something simple. Like a rum and Coke."

Lorne straightens, smiling. "Guess that is kinda my job here, isn't it?" he says, smiling.

He picks up a glass and fills it with ice, getting started on Jack's drink.

Jack makes a whiplash sound. "Earn that pay, Major."

Lorne grins as he sets Jack's drink in front of him. "Such a slave driver."

"I know," Jack says and has a sip. "I'll be making you lick my boots before much longer."

"Promises, promises," Lorne whispers.

Jack smiles slowly. "Oh?"

Lorne shrugs, giving Jack his best innocent face. "You can make me lick your boots anytime."

Jack just smiles and sips.

"Though I gotta say," Lorne adds, smirking. "It's been a long time since I took orders from a captain, Captain."

"Perhaps that's part of the thrill, Major."

"I think you might just be right about that," Lorne murmurs.

"Should I get out my uniform?"

"Yes, please." Lorne's tongue flicks out to wet his lips.

"How much longer are you on duty?"

He drinks the last of his rum and Coke quickly.
