Malcolm is celebrating reason #2323 why it's not such a bad thing to be post-living: no taxes to file this week.
That's why he's sipping that Glenmorangie, though actually, he doesn't really need a reason. The rest of his attention is directed at the tablet he has on the bar in front of him.
He's protecting his front lawn from zombies. Because classics never get old.

"Scotch or bourbon?"
There's a slight tightness around his eyes due to the bits of music in the air.

Malcolm squints a bit at the music. "Is that.... typical?"
Not that he's suggesting a personal soundtrack is a bad thing, as such.

He winces and takes a long sip of his drink.

"Maybe Bar wants you down at the gym?"
"...Do we even have a gym? We must have a gym somewhere."
no subject
He would find that an odd choice for him as he has other muscles to work.

"Heroic bookshelving maybe? Come to think of it, there are a couple books in the library upstairs that are supposed to be pretty bloodthirsty. You might need a soundtrack for those."
no subject
The music does a particularly dramatic crescendo at this point and Charles winces.

But her attention is caught by the device. By the man with it, too. But mostly the device.
Something like Karkat's projection, but on a flat object.
She watches, not caring whether it could count as staring.

Night time is a real pain when you have zombies.
no subject
It must be, really. If you can't see in the dark. Teresa can always sense exactly what she wants to fight, day or night, so she doesn't need to fear the dark.
It's not quite like Karkat's human sex movie. That didn't respond to poking, for a start.
Also there don't appear to be people having sex?

He seems more than a little annoyed when one of his mushrooms suddenly hunkers down and hides from one of the zombies instead of continuing to shoot at it.

Right now he's getting really worried by the two zombies with orange cones on their heads. They're getting awfully close to his--"No, no! Don't eat that!"
Malcolm makes a strangled noise as the two zombies chow down on the rest of what looked like a cute smiling flower and start on another one right next to it.

Malcolm takes a second to breathe a sigh.
"What? The dancing zombies again? Are you kidding me?!"

"...Cyril?"
Agh, now a football zombie. Just what he needed.

Because at this rate, Malcolm may not be playing this one for long.

"How about a little sunlight again, dammit?"
no subject
Hm. Maybe shouldn't have interrupted his game.

it's not his fault stupid videogame. He quickly blinks that away, and then pauses again for a moment before his eyes widen slightly again, this time in cautious recognition.
"...Carlotta, isn't it? How are you?"
