Nita's practicing the piano. Good for her. The tune is simple, easily recognizable for people from a certain time.
After a little while, she starts to sing -- softly, since she's not that confident in her singing abilities still.
Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, do n do do
Here comes the sun and I say
It's all right
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, do no do do
Here comes the sun and I say
It's all right
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, do n do do
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
It's all right

"Your voice is pleasant."
A pause.
"Perhaps, you ought to sing more often."

". . .Really?"
no subject
"Yes, you do."
Because lying to you is rather pointless goes unsaid.

She's playing Hey Jude now, softly.
". . .I never thought my singing voice was much good. Got me in trouble."

And he's conveniently forgetting Nita's tie to Rhalen for the moment.
